This SJN Stewardship Committee is currently rebuilding and needs to be re-staffed. Christian Stewardship is the spirituality of acknowledging God’s gifts to us, managing these gifts wisely and directing a portion of these gifts to serving God’s kingdom. Stewardship is far more than what one gives to charity - it is a way of life. Anyone who embraces this spirituality will find it life-changing. To find out more please contact Tony Zammarrelli, 803-466-3111, [email protected].

Cardinal Newman School St. John Neumann Catholic School
Our SJN School Community thanks you for praying for our continued efforts towards excellence in education and spiritual formation. It is the hope of the faculty and staff of St. John Neumann Catholic School that the virtues and values we teach serve as a foundation as our students build their own sense of morals and values. This month we have focused on the virtue of Perseverance and in the month of October we will focus on Humility. Please pray that we all learn to bring a humble heart to Jesus Christ and to each other. If you are a grandparent to one or more of our SJN students, we hope you are able to join us Friday, October 4th as we celebrate our wonderful grandparents on campus. We also invite you, as members of our parish family, to join us for our next school mass on October 9, 2019 at 10am in the school gymnasium.

"The worship of the Eucharist outside of the Mass is a great value for the life of the Church. It is pleasant to spend time with Him, like the beloved disciple and to feel the infinite love present in His heart. We feel a renewed need to spend time in spiritual communion, in silent adoration, in heartfelt love before Christ present in the most Holy Sacrament. I find strength, consolation and support from time before the Blessed Sacrament." Pope John Paul II -- "Ecclesia de Eucharistia"

Hesburgh, a feature-length documentary film about America’s most well-known Catholic priest and long-time president of the University of Notre Dame, will be playing locally this fall on October 13th!
Hesburgh, by award-winning filmmakers Patrick Creadon, Christine O’Malley, and Jerry Barca, offers a unique glimpse at more than fifty years of American history as seen through the eyes of Fr. Ted Hesburgh. Educator, civil rights champion, advisor to presidents, envoy to popes, theologian and activist, Hesburgh was called on by countless world leaders to tackle the most challenging issues of the day. He built a reputation as a savvy political operator with a penchant for bridging the divide between bitter enemies. Through it all, he remained a man armed with a fierce intelligence, a quick wit and an unyielding moral compass—a timeless example of bipartisan leadership that would serve us in today’s increasingly polarized times.
