Special NotesWomen's Golf News

Honor/Memory Walk

The recent hot, rainy, sultry weather seems to have gotten the best of the women golfers. Fortunately, a few fearless women refuse to let the heat take away the opportunity to play some golf.

On July 21, we found the ladies playing an individual match play competition. Kudos go to Sylvia Day who beat the course in only 10 holes. Hey Sylvia, when do you hit the Senior Women’s Tour?

July 28 the ladies fought for bragging on who could nail the lowest total score on par 4 holes. Dorie Richter won hands down on the front 9 with twenty strokes. The back 9 ended in a four-way tie, counting strokes on par 3 holes with a score of 8 between Liz Dyer, Coley Hodges, Lourdes White, and Carolyn Sullivan-Strickland . . . and a lot of fun was had!

August 18 the women competed in a putting extravaganza . . . 3 points for a 1 putt, 2 points for a 2 putt, 1 point for a 3 putt and 5 for a chip in . . . Coley Hodges out-putted everyone to take home the prize money.

Tennis|Pickleball CourtsTennis and Pickleball is a great family sport.

Anyone can play, from eight-year olds up to 100-year olds. It’s great for hand-eye coordination for younger kids.

So try out our Courts which may be reserved anytime between8 am to 8 pm by calling the Pro Shop at 252-946-3245.

* NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY ** COME TO PLAY AND LEARN *

Please stop by the office for an updatedWYCC Policies and Rules Handbook.

Applications for Private Cart or LSV permits are available.Cart registration Annual Rate is $25

FYI – There is a white box outside of the office door that can be used for dropping off payments and/or suggestions. If you have an address, phone or email change, you can drop it off there as well.

Many thanks to everyone that came out to the club and helped out with our divot party...it actually was a lot of fun and we surely do appreciate your time! Now, if all of our golfers could please be aware that there are 2 sand bottles onboard the cart and help us keep the fairways looking fine. Please fill your divots and any you might find along the way.
