Looking Back: I would like to take this opportunity to thank all co-workers and Lodge members that
donated for the Book Bag Fundraiser. Not only were we able to fill the four book bags for the schools were
able to take care of two of our own and have enough left over to assist several other schools that are in
need. We thank you very much for your love and support of our kids!
Fun was had by all on Family Fun Day! There were crafts, water balloon toss, and a Cheeto’s Game.
Thank you to all that donated our wonderful deserts.
Current: The WOTM will be selling brown bag lunches for the Lodge’s bus trip to the Nationals game on
September 19, 2015.
We are as always collecting food items for the local pantries that are always in need.
WE APPRECIATE ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT!
Looking Forward: The Paint Nite fundraiser for Mooseheart will be held on November 7, 2015.
If you are interested in attending please sign up at https://www.paintnite.com/pages/events/view/dc/907995
or see Wendy or me to get the information to reserve your slot. It is a GREAT time!
The WOTM is considering moving our meeting time from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 or 6:30 p.m. on the 1st and 3
rd
Thursday of the month. Please attend the Chapter meeting on September 17, 2015 to cast your vote to
keep the current time or change it.
As always the WOTM members are highly encouraged to attend meetings and social activities of the
Chapter.
Watch Bulletin Boards for information on upcoming events and fundraising activities.
Sincerely,
Cynthia ‘Dusty’ Herrick

ADMINISTRATOR’S CORNER
The Moose State Convention was held in Roanoke on August 20-23, 2015. I submitted our March/April issue
of the newsletter and I am proud to announce Dale City Moose received 2nd place in the newsletter competition. It is
really an honor being there are 80 lodges in Virginia.
There are major changes in the General Laws, which be announced at a later date. Through the year several
Lodges have closed their doors, but they are efforts to establish a new Lodge in the Southern Virginia. In the future,
both State Conventions will be held in Norfolk, Virginia. There will be no more meetings in Roanoke.
We ordered a cover for our outside grilling area, which will be delivered and should be installed by the time
the newsletter is out.
Congratulations to Terry Treadwell, a member of our Lodge and Past Governor of the Woodbridge Lodge.
Terry replaces me as the new District 4 President for 2015-2016.
There will be a 2-Hotts Training Class at the Dale City Lodge the weekend of September 26-27, 8:30am to
4pm. Cost is $35 to VMA and $6 each day for lunch.
I hope you all have a wonderful September. See you at the lodge.
