THE CONTEST IS OPEN TO ALL AREA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
1. Participation is open for the following trained art: Music: Vocal or Instrumental; classical, semi-classical, gospel and jazz
Interpretive Movement: Ballet, Modern and Tap Speech: Poetry, Oration and Monologue 2. Contestant must be a high school student (9th-12th grade) who has not advanced beyond a senior at the time of the Local Talent Hunt Program. 3. All presentations must be memorized, dignified, and in good taste. Contestants must provide 3
copies of scores or scripts. 4. Contestants must provide all music related to the performance. 5. Performance must be 4-6 minutes in duration. 6. Participants must perform alone as opposed to a group entry-Except with an accompanist. 7. Track music may be used for accompaniment as long as there is no lead instrumental or
background vocals included on the track. 8. Candidates must dress in semi-formal attire unless otherwise dictated by the performance. 9. Language and topics must be appropriate for all ages; no profanity. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive a Monetary prize, Trophy and Certificate of Appreciation. First, Second, and Third Place Winners will represent the Chapters at the State Competition Held in Huntsville, AL on October 19, 2013.
