September 1, 2016-August 31, 2017
‘‘It is through the wonderful generosity of our
alumni and friends that Hofstra Law continues
to develop new and innovative programs that
strengthen our educational offerings. Upon
graduation, our students emerge from the Law
School prepared to excel in the world. In addition
to financial support, countless volunteers con-
tribute to our success by providing opportunities
for our students to sharpen their skills, explore
different areas of law and build lifelong networks.
By giving today, you are truly impacting tomor-
row. Please accept our sincere gratitude.”

Judges Supporting Hofstra LawIn FY 2017, two Hofstra Law alumni members of the judiciary, Hon. John M. Czygier, Jr., ’74 and Hon. Denise Molia ’84, established annual scholarships for entering students with outstanding academic credentials and/or financial need. A third annual scholarship was established by Justice Fred Santucci, a good friend of the Law School. We are grateful to all three for their strong support of our students.

The Judith Fryer ’75 and Daniel Biggs Annual Scholarship The Judith Fryer ’75 and Daniel Biggs Annual Scholarship was established by alumna Judy Fryer and her husband to support an entering student beginning in August of 2017. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of demonstrated academic achievement and/or financial need. Julia Santo was named as the inaugural recipient and is tremendously grateful for the generous assistance. Fryer says she established the scholarship because “my law degree at Hofstra allowed me to have a tremendously rewarding career (and now a thrilling retirement). I was blessed by being able to get this education without going into debt, and I wanted to try to give others the type of advantages that I experienced. I am a big believer in paying forward what you receive.”
