Senior Trips Update!
I am happy to announce the return of trips for this fall. I am hoping to have a trip planned for
each month. For example, we will be returning to Cranberry Fest on Saturday, Sept 25. Regis-
tration for the Cranberry Fest trip is now open. All of these trips will be included in our Fall Ac-
tivity guide. Masks will be required on the bus. We will follow the mask guidelines for each
venue, and practice social distancing whenever possible. So glad to be getting back to our
fun trips! We miss you all and can’t wait to see you very soon!

Meet Our New Wake Up Work Out Instructor - Chrissy Hiebert
Did you know we were lucky enough to hire Chrissy as our new Wake Up
Work Out instructor last fall? Chrissy has been a group fitness instructor
for 3.5 years, focusing on senior fitness for over a year. “I believe
functional movement is important for everyone regardless of fitness level
or age. Exercise helps not only with physical strength, but also mood,
energy level, mobility, balance, and overall health! It’s so rewarding to
see people improve their range of motion and confidence in movement.
I have really enjoyed getting to know all the new class participants and I
welcome new faces. In my free time I like hiking, biking, gardening,
cooking, and baking. I also enjoy volunteering at my daughters’ schools.”
Join Chrissy in the Wake Up Work Out classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00-10:00am.

Watermelon Salsa
3 cups diced Watermelon 2 Tbs. chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper 1 Tbs. chopped green onion
2 Tbs. lime juice 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
In a large bowl, combine the watermelon, green bell pepper, lime juice, cilantro, green onions
and garlic salt. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with tortilla chips. I like to
use the “Hint of Lime” tortilla chips. Enjoy!
If you want to be fancy, scoop out the rest of the watermelon and use the outer rind as a bowl
for the salsa.
