FUTURE PLANS
• I plan on attending Hanover University and playing lacrosse.
• I plan on going into college undecided on my major but I will more than likely study Law Enforcement.
• After college I plan on becoming either a Sheriff or a Police Officer.
• I plan on attending Purdue University
• I plan on pursuing a degree and a future job in engineering

COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION
• Our mentor was Officer Daren Harmon.
• Daren is the head coach of our lacrosse team
• He is a 22 year veteran of the Vanderburgh County Sheriffs Office
• Daren helped with some of the camp days and provided some sticks
and lacrosse balls for us to use as well as acquiring the field we
used
• Daren is an all around great guy who helps out whenever he can
PROJECT
• We organized and ran a lacrosse camp for 6-8th grade boys
• We taught them basic rules
• Explained all equipment
• Brought sticks, helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, cleats and explained
• Taught how to cradle
• Used drills
• Taught how scoop
• Used drills that we use in practices
• Played scooping “games”
• Showed them what a game would be like
• Brought teammates and had a scrimmage, subbing the kids in occasionally
CHALLENGES/SUCCESSES
• Picking a date that worked around the weather
• Finally got a small break in the rain and cold
• Trying to get the word out to different schools and grade levels
• Posts to Facebook
• Sent Flyers to Middle Schools
• 8th Grade Night
• Securing a facility for us to use
• Mentor acquired our Home Field for us
• 8th grade night
• Lots of kids took and returned flyers that night
• Getting Equipment
• Every kid was able to have their own stick for the week
• Team and Coach were helpful with donating sticks/balls
• Participation
• All the kids seemed intrigued throughout the entire camp
