Picture that I took of myself working

the Wings for Autism program at the

Asheville Regional Airport (Above)

In this photo people are boarding the

plane, a MD-80, during the Wings for

Autism Program. (Left)

This is a picture of me boarding the

aircraft during the Wings for Autism

program, with the flight attendant

behind me. (Right)

This is a picture of the inside of the

aircraft during the Wings for Autism

program. WLOS news is shooting a

segment in this picture as well. (Left)

In the picture to the right, I am

looking over the property lease

agreement between the airport and

signature aviation, the fixed base

operator. I am gathering statistics for

Fayetteville Regional Airport so they

can compare property lease rates.

Above is a picture of the email that

Fayetteville Regional Airport sent the airport

asking for the statistics in the lease for

Asheville’s fixed base operator. Behind the

email is my scratch pad for gathering the

information.

In the picture above I am in the conference

room with an Allegiant MD-88 behind me.

To the right is a picture of the interior

of the operation trucks that they

drive around the airport. There are

multiple sets of radios so the driver in

constant communication with the

control tower. Certain clearances

must be obtained before driving on

certain places in the airport.

To the right is a picture of the inside

of an operations truck. Sherman,

Airport Operations Supervisor, is in

the left of the photo. This picture was

taken during a tour of the entire

property of the Asheville Regional

Airport.

The airport stores the de-icing fluid in

containers. A photo of these de-icing fluids

is to the left. The fluid is spayed on the

entire aircraft before a flight. They only do

this procedure when icing conditions are

known or are likely.

It requires a lot of energy to run

an airport. In the photo to the

right, there are multiple power

units that power all of the

airport runway lighting. This

includes the taxi way edge lights

to the runway threshold lights.

An airport is a small city, and like any

city, there has to be a fire

department. To the left is a picture of

one of the few vehicles that the

airport uses to fight fires. The airport

acquired this Oshkosh fire truck a

couple years ago.

The airport has multiple vehicles to

fight fires. To the left is a photo of

one of the older fire trucks that the

airport has. This vehicle is going to be

replaced within the next couple years

since it is so old.

To the right is a picture of the inside

of the Oshkosh fire truck. It is a very

sophisticated tool that the airport

uses. I was able to take a ride in this

vehicle and help inspect the runway

for any foreign object debris.

To the right is a picture of the view

from the front right seat in the

Oshkosh fire truck. This picture was

right before we went out and checked

the runway for foreign object debris.

Below is a picture of the agenda for the board

meeting I attended. This photo was taken a week

before the board meeting, but I was looking over

what was going to be covered. This included

things such as the budget and new fire truck bid.

Above is a picture that I took while I was working with

Michael Reisman, the Deputy Executive Director. We

were looking at the bids for a new fire truck since the

airport is retiring their old truck.

Shown above is a photo of Lew and

myself making a phone call to Duke

Energy to discuss plans for the

NAVAIDs on the airport.

Above is a photo of the server room located at the

Asheville Regional Airport. All systems, whether it is

the computers at the gate or the computers in the

offices, it all comes to this point.

Above, is a photo of myself and my mentor, Lew S.

Bleiweis, the Executive Director of the Asheville Regional

Airport.
