Getting to Know Our Senior Favorites

Tanna Knight –Class Clown

My best high school memory was being selected to represent my class on Homecoming Court all three years and being able to cheer on the Pack to two state championships!

My plans after high school are to attend the University of West Georgia this fall.

My favorite food is probably sushi and I get it at Japanese restaurants.

If I could live anywhere I would live in New York City because I loved the never sleeping of the city and the rush of excitement!

The most inspiring person in my life is my grandaddy. He's so faithful, loving, caring, hardworking, trustworthy, and the most respected man I know. He's always been here for me no matter what.

What are your plans after High School? ABAC #stallionlife - “ride horses, get cowboys”

Why were you selected? Cause I’m a big freaking ray of sunshine ;)

What was your best high school memory? Riding the rangers and hitting up the cook shack with my fam on the weekends!

What’s your favorite movie or TV show? It would have to be Recess because the squad they have in there reminds me of the squad I am blessed to have now, and plus you have to admit that playground was pretty fye.

Are you ready to be grown up? Why? Being young only gets to happen once a lifetime so why waste it trying to grow up.

Who is your celebrity crush? Carrie Underwood

What are your plans after high school? I plan to attend LaGrange College where I will play on the Tennis Team and also major in either Psychology or math. I’ll then plan to attend a Graduate school to complete my doctorate degree.

What is your favorite food and where do you get this food? My favorite food is the Boneless Wings ‘n Things with extra ranch and extra Zax sauce with a Nibbler and a large sweet tea from Zaxby’s.

Are you ready to be a grown up? Why? Heck no. I don’t want to pay taxes, I don’t wanna pay bills. I don’t wanna work. I don’t wanna raise children. I don’t wanna make dentist appointments. I don’t wanna go to the grocery store. I don’t wanna talk to other adults. I’m not ready. I just want to stay home and have mom make supper and clean house.

Why do you think you were selected in this Senior Favorite category? I mean let’s face it, I’m a really nice person. I try to talk to everyone, I’m always smiling, I give hugs to strangers even when they yell “Stawp”. I’m pretty much the funniest person I know.

Something weird about me people don’t know? I’m deathly afraid of black panthers

Plans after high school? I’ma try not to get a 5th concussion.

Hannah Thompson-Best All Around/Most Involved

I think I was selected for this favorite because I am involved in a lot of activities such as Key Club, Choir, engineering team, yearbook, cheerleading, and many other things

I plan to attend the University of Georgia after high school. I’m not sure what I will study yet, but I’m thinking about doing something with photography.

My best high school memory was being in the musical Aida. Specifically performing “God’s Blue Nubia” on the Sunday performance. It was just fun, and I made a lot of friends

Some people know this, but I am terrified of taxidermy. It is my biggest fear, and it is really embarrassing. If I go somewhere, and I’m not expecting there to be a dead deer head or something of that nature, I start screaming and crying, and I can’t help it. It’s a true phobia.

Why selected? Aside from painting up and going crazy for the Packers, I helped organize the girl’s paint up crew every week and bought our supplies.

Are you ready to grow up? Why? Heck no! I ain’t ready to grow up! Who is ready to be a grown up? I would rather be a kid forever!

Who is the most inspiring person in your life? Why? The last inspiring person in my life is Mrs. Evelyn Chivers. She has had a great life and she has helped me grow and become the wonderfully unique person I am today!

What is your dream job and why? My dream job is to do nothing and get paid a lot of money!

What is your favorite food and where do you get this food? My favorite food is Beef Ramen Noodles and you can get them from any store that sells food products.

What are your plans after high school? My plans after high school are pretty undecided. I’m just going to figure things out as I go and try to make the very best of life and stay happy.

Are you ready to be a grown up? Why? I’m so ready to be a grown up. Adults are always talking about how we need to cherish our teenage years because we don’t have to pay bills, but I want to be self-sufficient. Being a dependent is fun and all until you grow your wings. It’s time to leave the nest.

Why do you think you were selected in this senior favorites category? Because I’m the best, duh!

Explain the most unusual thing about you that people probably don’t know. I only wear pants like once every other week, which people probably don’t know if they’re my friends. I just wear gym shorts. But when I do wear pants, it’s on point.

What is your best high school memory? In tenth grade, I realized that human existence is futile in the grand scheme of the universe so there was no point in me crying over my 26 average in language. That was supposed to be funny but ended up being sad. Oops.

What are your plans after high school? I’m going to Mercer for music performance. Seriously not planning on doing anything music related. Then I’ll go to grad school at a place I haven’t decided upon, and maybe I’ll become a pro symphonic musician or something. Through all of this, I plan to continue contemplating and coming to terms with the futility of existence.

Are you ready to be a grown up? Why? In a way I am. It is exciting to think about starting a new chapter in my life and seeing how my life will unfold but also scary at the same time, growing up and being on my own.

Why do you think you were selected in this senior favorite category? I had braces for two years, which costs lots of money, so at least it payed off.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why? I would love to live in Jacksonville. It has a beach, the Cheesecake Factory, and lots of shopping places. Three of my favorite things in one place.

What is your best high school memory? Making Varsity Football my 11th grade year & winning the State Championship at the dome.

What are your plans after high school? I plan to attend VSU to finish my core and enroll in the dental hygiene program at Wiregrass Technical College to be a Dental Hygienist.

What was your best high school memory? My senior year basketball game vs Tifton in Tifton when we beat Tifton, also watching the packers go 30-0 with my squad

What are your plans after high school? Attend the University of Georgia to major in marketing and fashion merchandise

Something weird or unusual about me people probably don't know: I do not eat eggs or donuts, they are gross!!

What is your favorite tv show? One Tree Hill because I love Nathan Scott and basketball, also Nathan Scott is my future husband.

Who is the most inspiring person in your life? Why? DJ Khaled. He is always working real hard, spreads positive vibes everywhere he goes, never stops grinding, give tips on how to be appreciate and be successful, enjoys life and makes the most out of it, and most importantly he constantly reminds everyone to not play themselves.

Why do you think you were selected in this senior favorite category? I Believe I was selected for this senior favorite category because of my major key snap stories which inspire many high schoolers to grind hard and not play themselves.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why? If I could live anywhere in the world it would have to be Dubai. Dubai is a vibrant city with a diverse culture, endless restaurants, countless attractions and everything there is tax-free and you have a tax free income if you work there.

Who is your celebrity crush? This is a tough one, there’re so many beautiful women out there but I’d have to go with Candice Swanepoel.

What is your favorite movie or TV show? I would have to go with The Wolf of Wall Street. Abby Mincey-Biggest Flirt

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why? Granada, Spain. I love the Spanish language and the free spirited vibe of the city.

Who is the most inspiring person in your life? Why? My father. He has always coached me through life and been there for me through tears and laughter. My dad always encourages me to do my best and is always full of advice.

What is your favorite movie or TV show? Every Monday night I tune in to watch the Bachelor. Let’s just say I get really into it.

Who is your celebrity crush? From “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” to “Titanic” to “The Wolf of Wall Street”, I love Leonardo DiCaprio with all my heart pretty sure we’re soulmates even though he doesn’t know I exist...yet. ;)

What are your plans after high school? I am attending UGA in the fall and plan to major in biology or chemistry. I then intend to go to pharmacy school.

What is your dream job and why? Become CEO of Pizza Hut.. who doesn't like Pizza.

Who is your favorite singer or band? I don't have a fav. singer but the best rapper is Skeemo.

What are your plans after high school? To continue living life to the fullest.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why? Anywhere with a bed and access to Netflix

What is your favorite movie or TV show? Grey's Anatomy because I love Derek Shepard and want to be Meredith Grey.

What was your best high school memory? Being a cheerleader and cheering at the dome, running back to back championships.

What are your plans after high school? To attend VSU and get a nursing degree.

Christy Crosby-Friendliest/Nicest

Why do you think you were selected in this Senior Favorite Category? I was overwhelmed with joy when I saw that I was chosen as the friendliest/nicest senior girl at CCHS. I believe I was chosen in this senior category because I enjoy greeting people and saying hey to everyone I see at school. I love to help people and be there for them. I enjoy smiling and making someone’s day.

Are you ready to be a grown up? Why? I believe I am ready to be a grown up, because I’m ready to start teaching, get married, become a wife and mother, and see what my future holds.

What is your dream job and why? To be a kindergarten teacher with a master’s degree at a local elementary school in Colquitt County.

What was your best high school memory? Being a part of Peer Leadership and being able to say the prayer at the football games.

What are your plans after high school? After I graduate from high school, I plan on attending ABAC for the first two years and then transferring to VSU to major in Early Childhood Education.

Evan Gambill-Most Sophisticated

Are you ready to be a grown up? Why? I think I’m ready to be a grown-up. I look forward to having more freedom, even if that means plenty more work and stress.

Why do you think you have been selected for this senior favorite category? I think I was picked for this due to my being a total nerd. Still, I disagree with being called sophisticated. I’m a simple guy, really! I mainly like pizza and dumb puns!

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why? I’d love to live in Italy. Awesome food, beautiful scenery, and a wonderful sounding language.

What is your favorite singer or band? My favorite band is the Mountain Goats. John Darnielle, the lead singer, is an incredible lyricist.

What are your plans after high school? I plan to go to Mercer and hopefully decide on a major soon!

What is your favorite movie or TV show? My favorite movie is the 2011 version of Footloose.

Who is your celebrity crush? My celebrity crush would be Patrick Dempsey from the TV series Grey’s Anatomy.

What is your best high school memory? My best high school memory would be interning with Coach Kebler throughout my senior year, being the water girl while traveling to all of the football games with the team.

What are your plans after high school? My plan after high school is to attend college and obtain a degree at UGA.

Are you ready to be a grown up? Why? Yes, I’m ready to be a grown up because I’m ready to have my life together, a job, a family, and also a set routine each day.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why? New York. I love the city setting and being able to walk to your destinations.

What is your dream job and why? Fashion Marketing because I am a fashion enthusiasts. It is something I am passionate about it.

Are you ready to be a grown up? Why? NO, I’m not ready to grow up; at least, I’m not ready to become the typical adult that most people imagine. I’m ready to become an older better version of myself with new freedoms.

Who is the most inspiring person in your life? Why? Mrs. Miller and Mr. Kern my choir directors are my biggest inspirations; they’re so knowledgeable, worldly, and caring. Also, despite any stress or hardships they face they persevere with optimism.

Explain the weirdest or unusual thing about you that people probably don’t know. Most people don’t know that I keep a collection of beetles and moth; therefore, I catch insects, put them in killing jars, and pin their bodies on display boards.

What does being a CCHS Packer mean to you? Someone who is an individual, someone who never wavers in their attempts to succeed in whatever they do, someone who is dedicated, a person who carries themselves with confidence.

What is your favorite food and where do you get this food? Calamanco marinated fried milky fish; it’s a dish my mom makes with ingredients from a nearby Filipino store.

Who is the most inspiring person in your life? Why? My mom, she is the most loving and gracious person I know. She’s dedicated her life to helping others. She inspires me to continue to be kind.

What is your favorite food and where do you get this food? Fried pickles, you can get this most places. Zaxby’s needs to bring them back.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why? Venice, Italy. I think the architecture is beautiful and experiencing a different culture would be nice.

What is your favorite movie or TV Show? The original Fast and Furious with Cinderella Man being a close second

What is your dream job and why? Traveling across the world while driving a 1970 Dodge Charger R/S. I love to see new places and being paid to do it would make it even better.

What are your plans after high school? I have decided to start a new chapter of life, college. I am going to Baylor University in Waco, Texas to work in emergency medicine and become a doctor.

What does being a CCHS Packer mean to you? It means to never give up. Work for your success and happiness, it would eventually happen. To me, it is much more than identification, it is a lifestyle.

What are your plans after high school? My plans after high school include attending Georgia College as a biology major and later medical school.

Who will you marry in 10 years? Why? In ten years I'll be married to Karston Spradley because we're basically the same person.

What is your dream job and why? My dream is to be a doctor. I've always been passionate about science and medicine, and I can't wait until the day that I start my own practice.

Are you ready to be a grown up? Why? In a way I am ready to be grown up because my life is truly just starting, but I'm honestly not ready to let this part of my life go.
