Current programs, taught by volunteers from local businesses, are designed to inspire and equip youth with the tools they need to succeed in a global economy.

The Senior Director of Corporate Giving will join the senior leadership team at an exciting point in its history and will have the unique opportunity to lead JAWA’s corporate fundraising. Under its new President, JAWA is doubling down on its investment locally and has the dynamism of a new startup with the stability of a mature organization. The Senior Director of Corporate Giving will expand and build off of existing strong relationships to increase funds raised that include:

Strategic PrioritiesAs a member of the senior leadership team, the Senior Director of Corporate Giving will contribute to the organization’s new strategic plan and:

• Design and implement a comprehensive development plan focused on expanding and enhancing corporate partnerships to obtain both programmatic and monetary support

• Work with internal communications team to create and put into effect a strategy to highlight JAWA’s value proposition, increase awareness of its mission, and emphasize its focus on building both soft skills and financial skills

• Uncover new corporate opportunities by engaging and stewarding existing donors and collaboratively devising methods to increase revenue, expand knowledge of JAWA programs, and attract new program participants within their organizations

• Identify, engage, and cultivate new prospective donors to increase the number of corporate relationships, gift sizes, and renewal rates from corporations and foundations

• Engage senior leadership team colleagues and Board members to identify partnership opportunities and strengthen a culture of fundraising throughout the organization

• Monitor, measure, and evaluate progress toward fundraising goals and objectives using JAWA’s database, being careful to maintain data integrity

• Participate in the preparation of JAWA’s annual report, providing evidence of partnership and fundraising success

Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is passionate about the mission and excited about improving the financial health and wellness of our community’s youth. They are innovative and entrepreneurial with a track record of translating vision into actionable plans with measurable results. They are a fearless fundraiser who has existing corporate relationships and has the boldness to create new ones. The Senior Director of Corporate Giving will be motivated by making the close, rather than avoiding failure. They will leverage their experience but will also seek out and incorporate new approaches to fund development.

The selected candidate will be a good storyteller who can think creatively in the moment and who understands how to engage and inspire donors. They will be comfortable as a public face of an organization and a natural networker. They will have a demonstrated track record building and maintaining long-standing relationships with donors and/or clients and closing gifts or sales. The ideal candidate will have experience with corporate social responsibility, cause-marketing, brand partnerships, public-private partnerships, or employee engagement/sponsorship programs. They will have a strong ability to manage multifaceted projects in a fluid, dynamic environment.

All candidates must bring a minimum of six years of demonstrated success in corporate relations, sales, fundraising, business development, or a related role. Impeccable communication skills with a natural affinity for relationship building and management are critical. Strong analytical, time management, organizational, and strategic planning skills are important as well. Demonstrated success closing gifts or business to business sales of $100,000 or more is required. Database management experience is also crucial in this role. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.

The salary range for this role is $130,000-$150,000.
