She is referred to the ‘Queen’ as in the music industry she is the Queen of Pop. She is wearing red to prove her feminism, furthermore the colour red can be associated with the word ‘Killer’ as red connotes danger, fierceness however the positive connotations of Red is Royalty, Power, Love, Passion and Beauty which this poster/image is trying to prove. The word ‘Killer’ proves the power of the model (Katy Perry) and how her perfume is ‘powerful’.

The mise-en-scene of this image which makes it a royal theme is the small props around her. The crown, the stick, the mirror proves the royalty, furthermore as the perfume is called ‘Killer Queen’ you can see that she is showing on how female are stronger. This is shown by the throne on the floor sideways, with the king crown on the floor, this signifies the power of females. This is called binary opposites. It also has an atmosphere of a ‘fairy-tale’, rather than having a ‘blood shedding’ atmosphere.

The colours used in this image are Red, and Gold. These colours associate with royalty. Additionally the royal colours used in this specific image matches with the colour scheme of the perfume bottle, keeping it constant. These are royal colours, in which further in depth, the colour red as more of the shine to the image.

The slogan ‘Own the Throne’ is used furthermore to show the power on how a celebrity can persuade anyone to buy this to ‘own the throne’.The name of the perfume is

Katy Perry is in pose where has taken control, which makes the audience feel like if they wore this perfume they would feel more powerful and dominant. Her head held high, legs crossed, and straight posture signifies the maturity and furthermore she represents the power of females.

Bright, happy colours are used at it connotes the fragrance being a pleasant smell for the audience. The colour scheme is yellow and black.

Images of flowers are featured as it proves the cheerful side of yellow and how this perfume can cheerful. The images are anchoring the text.

Mode of address of this image is quite formal however there is no model in the image which would usually have direct eye contact in which they directly address to the audience specifically.
