thFounder of CTE, Late Dr. Gulab Chaurasia on Saturday 25 June, 2016. The theme of the Seminar is “Modern Education System: Multidisciplinary Perspective”. The seminar will commence with the Felicitation Programme of Eminent Academician in the field of Education- Prof. R. G. Kothari for his immense contribution in the field of Education. Grace the seminar with your scholarly presence.

The Council for Teacher Education, India was launched in the year 1985 by a group of committed Teacher Educators under the guidance of Late Dr. Gulab Chaurasia, the Founder of CTE. It is a registered Professional National Organization of Teacher Educators having 25 different state chapters and three international chapters. The major objective of CTE is to strengthen teacher preparation programmes- both pre-service and in-service. CTE, Gujarat (www.ctegujarat.org) is one of the leading chapters among all CTEs. The CTEG has organized various programmes in Gujarat under guidance of Prof. R. G. Kothari - the President of CTEG. CTEG has organized ten Seminars, Eleven Workshop and Teacher Development Programmes in Colleges and Schools of Gujarat state. Even CTEG has published four books and started an e-journal ‘EduInspire: An International E-Journal ISSN - 2349-7076’ and published its four issues. CTEG has achieved Best CTE Chapter Award among all CTE chapters consecutively since last two years. In very near future CTEG is going to organize CTE Annual Meet and International Seminar in November, 2016 at Borsad in Gujarat.

Maharaja Sayajirao Vishwavidyalay Shaikshik Sangh (MSVSS) is a subsidiary association of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM). MSVSS started its activities for the welfare of teachers at all level of education- primary to tertiary level from the year 2004. The aim behind these activities is to safeguard the interests of the teachers, to build an environment conducive for growth of a holistic educational culture in Baroda. The year 2006 proved to be a landmark as MSVSS formally came into existence. MSVSS has been frequently organizing programmes regarding the awareness of the teachers, students and society at large.

ABOUT THE SEMINAR

The well-known eminent academician Prof. Rameshchandra G. Kothari has served the field of Education and taken a place in the hearts of students and the teaching fraternity. His philosophy of 3 Cs Viz. Care, Concern and Commitment has made him one of the best academician and administrator. He was born at Meh village of Surat district in Gujarat state. He was a very bright student in his academics. He started his teaching career as a teacher in Jeevan Sadhana School, Vadodara, then he joined as a lecturer in Anand Education College, Anand. Later joined as Reader and then Professor in the Department of Education, Faculty of Education and Psychology (CASE), The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat. In The Maharaja Sayajirao University, he served under various capacities: Head, Department of Education; Dean, Faculty of Education and Psychology; In-charge Vice Chancellor. He has rendered his services as Vice Chancellor to the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat (Gujarat). He has extended his expertise to many Schools, Colleges, Universities, Educational Institutions, Government bodies at National and International level. His mesmerising key note Addresses, enriching lectures at Seminars, Workshops and Symposiums have earned him enormous fame. He has published about 250 scholarly Articles and contributed to more than 15 books. Since 2009, he has lead CTEG as its president. His eminence in Education lead academicians, reputed educationists, students and CTE members and MSVSS members from Gujarat and India to felicitate him for his valuable contributions.

Education is a unique and basic sub-system of society for development and empowerment of human being. It is ever demanding for every human being. It provides skilled and knowledgeable individuals to society and citizens nation. It has to collaborate and integrate with various organizations and sub-systems of the society. When the world is technologically advancing and marching towards globalization its modern system at National and International level needs to enhance. Integration of Education at various levels with the different subsystems of society like corporate sectors, government sectors is needed to have an overview of education as a whole. With this pious intention CTEG and MSVSS have scheduled National Seminar on “Modern Education System: Multidisciplinary Perspective” so that Experts, Academicians, thinkers and learners from various fields of society can meet and discuss the modern trends in their own fields and come out with innovative ideas in order to cater to the multidisciplinary perspective.
