Fréderic ALLEMAND, Researcher, ENS, Sciences Po

Frédéric Allemand is Researcher at Centre virtuel de connaissance sur l’Europe (a Luxembourg-based public research and documentation centre dedicated to the European integration process, www.cvce.eu) where he is in charge of the EU institutional issues, as well as economic governance. He is also Associate Researcher at the Centre de géostratégie of the Ecole normale supérieure (an elite higher education institution) and lecturer in EU law at Sciences Po Paris, HEC Business School and Ecole nationale d’administration. He was formerly Deputy Director of the Europe-International Department at Fondation pour l’innovation politique (a French centre-right think tank) and, before that, Researcher at the Robert Schuman Foundation (Paris) and lawyer in Legal

Department at the ECB. He is graduated from Sciences Po and the Pantheon Sorbonne University. He has published many scientific contributions about the EMU and the EU law. After a successful start-up, left the company in April 2011.Key expertise is the development and managing of companies in international environments, with a particular attention in structuring the company through dedicate communication patterns.In Primapress he coordinates all activity related to new media and new communication technologies, merging communication expertise with new media tools, from web radio to satellite communication.

Allan JANICK, Professor in Philosophy, University of Innsbrück

Allan Janik, citizen of both Austrian and the United States, is a philosopher and historian of ideas. He is senior research, fellow of the Brenner Archives at the University of Innsbruck and honorary professor of philosophy at the university of Vienna. His many books include Wittgenstein’s Vienna (with S. Toulmin), The Concept of Knowledge in Practical Philosophy (in Swedish), Style, Politics and the Future of Philosophy as well as the study Towards a New Philosophy for the EU (Foundation for Political Innovation 2008). He is especially interested in problems surrounding the European Union’s “democracy deficit”, the nature of participatory democracy and the role of conflict in democratic society.

Ioannis PAPADIMITRIOU, Journalist, Deutsche Welle

Ioannis Papadimitriou is a Greek-German journalist and jurist, gratuated from the University of Bonn, Germany and specialized in European and Public International Law. For about 15 years he has worked as an editor, presenter and producer for German Television (WDR TV Cologne, SWF TV Baden Baden, Deutsche Welle TV) and for Deutsche Welle Radio. He has also worked as a live-news anchorman and foreign desk editor for various Greek TV-channels, including the leading news channel ‘Skai’. Currently he is an Athens correspondent for Deutsche Welle Radio and the German newspaper ‘Die Tageszeitung’. Furthermore, he is covering the monthly sessions of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. In 2008 he was nominated for the first Journalism Prize of the European Parliament and in 2010 he was awarded the “Calligas Journalism Prize” in Greece for promoting European integration. In 2011 he has won first prize in the German-Greek translation competition, organized by the Goethe Institute in Athens.
