Seminar & Meeting COPYRIGHT IN FILM INDUSTRY is meant for management,

marketing and law professionals working in film industry and for film producers and directors.

Seminar concerns management and commercialization of intellectual property in film industry, as well as protection of copyright.

Seminar is useful due to workshops, case studies and is targeted at solution of particular tasks of participants1.

How much is it to attend the seminar & meeting?

The National Projects Foundation is a non-profit organization, one of our aims is to promote ideas of intellectual property protection and respect towards intellectual assets of others. To let this event occur you would need to make a one-time donation of 59 000 RUR7, which is going to be used to develop IP projects and organization of the seminar (coffee breaks8,lunches9,information materials, personal consultation of the event host, analysis of the level of IP protection and IPM certificate).

How much is the trip?

The final cost depends on the place of departure, hotel class, etc. The approximate price of the trip amounts to 44 000 RUR and includes:

Visa fee Direct flight Moscow – Berlin – Moscow Transfer by taxi (airport – hotel - airport) Accommodation in a 4 star hotel in the city centre (5 nights, 6 days) with breakfast

How to sign up for an event?

1. Fill up a questionnaire (see below)

2. A scan of a filled up, signed and sealed questionnaire is to be sent to the administration by email ([email protected]) before the date set as a deadline on the first page.

3. Upon receipt of the scanned copy of your questionnaire the Administration shall forward you a confirmation of receipt and the details for donation and an agreement.

4. After conclusion of an agreement and settlement the due sums you shall get an informational leaflet for participants of the seminar where you will find all necessary information on time, venues, etc.

Please take care of your trip in advance.

Visa and organizational information

To join the seminar you would need to obtain a visa. We can assist you (grant you with a list of necessary documents, assist you in filling out questionnaires for visa, consultation). The normal term of consideration of the filed documents is 10 days, the term may vary depending on the embassy. Under some circumstances the term can be prolonged (e.g. up to 30 days) to send the documents and other formalities. At your request the NPF administration will forward you all the necessary information including the deadlines for handing the documents. .

What is IPM? IPM (Intellectual Property Management) is a system of intellectual property management developed by the National Projects Foundation to make the commercial use of intellectual assets of a company as well as their protection more

efficient. IPM provides for consultations, education and implementing IPM standards as well as rating of companies. IPM

Certificate is a result of analysis of a company and reflects the level of protection of intellectual assets of a company.

The National Projects Foundation is an NGO dealing with promotion of IP protection and organization of international cultural and business events (KIDS Quarter, Business Forum Russia-Slovenia 2011, etc.)

Who is Mikael Dashian?

Born 19 June 1980, graduated from MGIU (bachelor and specialist degree in law, 1999-2000) and from the Moscow State Technology Academy (a degree in management, 2001) , got a WIPO certificate for passing a specialized

course, since 2009 – the President of The National Projects Foundation. Resides in Moscow. Married, has a son. Mikael Dashian is an author of numerous articles, publications (like Finansovaya Gazeta (Finance Newspaper),

Intellectual Property, News of artificial intellect) and books on legal and business issues, incl. ‘Intellectual property in business’ (2009)10, Law of Informational Highways11 (2007), Market conquest12 (2009), Copyright Law: absurd and genius13 (2011). The books have become bestsellers several times in the Legal Literature Section on the OZON

Internet shop.

a questionnaire by email in any suitable format (.doc(x), pdf)

Why are the payment terms set as a donation?

This terms of payment is selected due to our NGO and not-for-profit status and is easily from the point of document processing – you do not need to process our bills or sign any report for rendered services.

How to donate?

If you are an entity, please make the payment through a bank basing on the Donation Agreement. To make a payment you would need an agreement signed by an authorized person on the NPF’s side, which

will be sent to you upon receipt of the questionnaire. You would need to sign and stamp it, make a payment through a bank using the details set in the Agreement.

If you are an individual, the donation is transferred by a bank without any documents.

As purpose of payment please indicate: Donation for development of the intellectual property projects and holding the meeting in Berlin in February

Should we exchange paper copies of documents?

Yes, we should. Alongside the signed agreement which will be forwarded to you, you will receive the same Agreement but without any signatures on our side. This copy is to be printed out in 2 copies and signed and stamped by your side. The signed copies are to be forwarded in our postal address which is set in the Agreement. One copy

with our original signature and a seal will be sent back to you in the address you will indicate on the envelope.

Why is your event called seminar & meeting?

A seminar provides for an educational lecture with a possibility to ask questions. We are holding a different event: participants gather to get specific information on issues set as a topic, learn best practices and find solution for their

own challenges during the meeting, i.e. together with other participants and the host thus enrich the knowledge, learn more about how other peopled solved the same problem and get an individual consultation from the host. Upon the

end of the event everyone shall contribute to the minutes of the meeting to be sent to the leading organizations in the industry.

Seminar and Meeting as a format of events was tested by us during the International Business Forum Russia-Slovenia 2011 in Maribor and is vastly used in the UN system.
