SALLY Welcome to the ESRC funded ‘Safeguarding Adults and Legal Literacy’ or ‘SALLY’ seminar series investigating the impact of the Care Act 2014. The theme for the first year of this three year series was Making Law’ with seminars focused on the law making process; construction and conceptualisation of categories of abuse; and comparative perspectives throughout the UK. The theme for the second year, across seminars 4, 5 and 6 is ‘Interpreting Law’. Seminar 4 considers ‘Dignity, well- being and human rights’ Seminar 5 considers ‘Intersections with mental capacity and mental health’. Seminar 6 will focus on ‘ Responsibility for and to safeguarding in civil society’.
