Recycling the Right Way!! SELF-SERVICE You are required to sort your own recyclables into the appropriate bins 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 City Staff will provide assistance and direction, but will not participate in the sorting. You will no longer be able to simply drop off the items. If you are unable to sort your items yourself, please bring someone to assist you. Only 5 people will be allowed in the building at any one time to sort material. Please ensure proper social distancing. Only appropriate material will be accepted. Non-recyclable items and other garbage must be taken home. Failure to follow appropriate procedures in sorting recyclables will result in a bin being determined to be contaminated and the bin will be sent to the landfill instead of the recycling processing center. Glass, plastic and aluminum containers must be rinsed. Cardboard must be broken down and packing material removed before being placed in the bins. Cardboard must not be contaminated by food, oil, paint or similar substances Until further notice, the Recycling Center will not be accepting appliances and tires. Please follow the direction of City staff. Failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the facility. If we experience consistent violations of the rules, we will be forced to close the facility. Use of the facility is at your own risk
