Selective collecting of waste

• The selective collecting of waste consists on the work done by the citizens who make their own selection of waste, placing it in the appropiate container.

• The materials placed in the appropiate containers can be easily reused in the industry, mixed with new products.

environment. It takes years to make them disappear. Most of them are

Glass: Green Bin• Any glass container: big and small

bottles, jars, jugs, glasses…

• Don’t throw:

• Bottle caps, jar caps, bulbs

• Each person trows about 35 kg of glass away. If we recycld it all it would mean an important reduction of energy.

• The glass is 100 % recycled.

Paper and cardboard: Blue bin

• Any kind of paper or cardboard: books, newspaper, magazines, writing paper …

• Don’t throw:• Used napkins• Paper or cardboard dirty with food• Papeles plastificados o encerados• Used paper handkerchiefs

• Recycling paper we use to reduce pollution.

• Paper and cardboard are 100% recycled.

Organic Waste: Black Bin

• Food• Paper and cardboard dirty

• Don’t throw:• Medicines• Household appliances• Batteries

Domestic oil: Brown Bin

• The oil must be placed inside closed plastic bottles.

The batteries must be placed in special containers which are found in shops, commercial centres etc. Batteries are really harmful for the environment.
