In1994,DerryperformedstudiesofdiamondsurfacesatboththeSynchrotronRadia2onSource-DaresburyLaboratoryandESRF.

Duringthesameyear,Sellschoppar2cipatedinotherdiamondstudiesat

ESRF.

In1996,GiovanniHearne,currentlyattheUniversityofJohannesburg,usedthefacilityattheESRFtostudymaterialsunderextremepressures.

BryanDoyle,nowattheUniversityofJohannesburg,servedasapostdoctoralresearcheratESRFaround1999.
