The fittings can be installed in the locations of existing lighting fixtures, so they are the most appropriate for changing fluorescent fixtures to LED fixtures.Improvements from previous Seiwa models (LZAA Series): 20% better intrinsic energy consumption efficiency, and enhanced color rendering property (Ra 83).Both single-lamp and double-lamp fluorescent light equivalence are avairable to match the brightness need. Wide selection of mounting types.

3) Cable entry specifications・Wall-mounted type: Select cable entry specifications from the below table. For cable wiring, select a cable gland model from p. 101 - 102. However, the cable gland is provided as an accessory.

・Stand type: Specify the cable outer diameter. One(1) cable can enter. Applicable cable outer diameter is within Ø8.8 - 20. The stand type is designed only for cable connection and the external cable port is fitted with packing.

In normal use, these control boxes can stand up to corrosion. However if used in places where exposed to salty air or other adverse conditions, rusting and other issues may occur in a short period of time. In such case, please contact us before purchasing.

Adoption of the Minamata Convention on Mercury Prohibitions Expected to Start in 2020

Seiwa Electric is actively working on the development of substitute LED products.

Designed to prevent mercury pollution, the Minamata Convention on Mercury was adopted and signed in October 2013 at a diplomatic conference of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Kumamoto, Japan. The convention provides that the production and international trade of products containing mercury will as a rule be prohibited from 2020. Some Seiwa products will be affected, and we are actively developing LED products as substitutes.

1. In 2009 the UNEP Governing Council agreed to establish a binding international agreement on the control of mercury emissions.

2. In 2010 negotiations for the convention on mercury began. 3. In November 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand, the sixth session of the intergovernmental negotiating committee (INC 6) discussed

draft procedures for trade and other matters to be proposed to the first conference of signatory nations. Attending the session were over 400 delegates from more than 120 national and regional governments as well as many intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations.

1. The convention was adopted and signed by the delegates to a diplomatic conference held October 9-11, 2013 in Kumamoto.2. The convention will come into force 90 days after it has been ratified by at least 50 nations.3. Before the convention comes into force, the seventh session of the intergovernmental negotiating committee (INC 7) will be

held. After it comes into force, there will be periodic conferences of the signatory nations.

The convention applies to products containing mercury such as batteries, switches, lighting fixtures, measuring devices (including medical thermometers and sphygmomanometers), and dental amalgams. Among the restricted lamps products are fluorescent lamps for general lighting purposes (including compact fluorescent lamps, except those with mercury content below the regulatory standard of 5 ~ 10 mg) and high-pressure mercury vapor lamps.

Restrictions will apply to production and international trade. Products containing mercury that is in use will still be allowed from 2020.

Complete prohibition will apply to high-pressure mercury vapor lamps.

For fluorescent lamps, mercury content will be restricted (5 ~ 10 milligrams)

Metal halide lamps, high-pressure sodium lamps, and some special-use lamps (including ultraviolet lamps) will not be restricted.
