SEEKERS OF KNOWLEDGE
The gist of the Hadith is the inseparability of knowledge and
piety.

THREE TYPES OF PEOPLE
1-The first kind seeks it to raise quarrel and dispute;
2- The second for domination and making impression on people,
3- The third type seeks it for improvement and quenching the thirst of intellect.

THE THIRD TYPE
The third type is the true seeker of knowledge whose ultimate aim is to prove the final authority of all over all matters.

SEEKERS OF KNOWLEDGE
Thus sincerity of intention and inner truthfulness is the fundamental condition for seeking knowledge.
As Imam Khomieini (RA) says, ‘taqwa (God-fearing) purifies the soul and connects it to the invisible sacred realm.
This is followed by Divine teaching and the rahmani inspirations.

The First Type
Those who want to create quarrel and nifaq. Jahala is associated with the first type.
Jahala means foolishness and it is opposite of reason.

Knowledge for controversy and producing nifaq is directly related to the everyday character of the person.

These people are ignorant of the highest order, who are not even aware of their ignorance

These type of people are usually public intellectuals who seeks
attention and petty fame.

Those seek knowledge for domination and impressing people

Knowledge for the sake of domination and impression
creation is not true knowledge.

This type of people is usually associated with professional academics and religious clerics, who seek knowledge to satisfy their own inner egos and project their own selves over others.

The one who seeks knowledge for self reform and improvement.
He seeks knowledge to purify the heart and remove the veils of darkness from his soul.
He has no love for the self and motive for domination.

They keep away from the company of immoral people who might have bad influence on hearts which closes the spiritual development of people thus making it difficult to acquire true knowledge.

This type of people keeps away from all vices and evils because they want their intentions to be pure.
They have divine purpose and inspiration to seek knowledge.
