Auslan Signs for Church!

As you’re watching the YouTube video during church, do these signs every time you hear these words!

Jesus

With your elbows bent, start with your hands in front of you, facing each other. Bend the middle finger on your right

hand and tap your left palm with that middle finger. Then bend the middle finger on your left hand and tap your

right palm with that middle finger. It looks like your pointing to the holes in Jesus’ hands.

Raised/Resurrection

→ →

Hold your left hand flat in front of you, palm up. Hold your right hand with your index and middle finger down like

they are two little legs. Have your right hand tucked sideways under your left hand, like your right hand is under the

ground. Pull you right hand out from under your left and land your legs on your left palm, like your right hand is

jumping up onto the ground.

Body

Start with your hands on either side of your chest, just in front of your body. Then move your hands straight down

like you are outlining your torso.

Practise all of these before you start church and do the right sign every time you hear the words!
