Community OutreachApril Hike/Walk Event
Walk MS helps us team up with friends, loved ones and co-workers to change the world for everyone affected by MS. Members and their guests will have the opportunity to participate in our first Athletic Center Community Outreach Event of 2016. We will walk in support of people who are affected by Multiple Sclerosis. The MS walk is scheduled for Saturday, April 9 at Yavapai College. The site opens at 8:30am; walk begins at 10:00am. There are 2 routes from which to choose. Starting at center circle at Yavapai College the longer route goes through the VA to the hwy 89 sidewalk, around the hill back to the college property center circle. This route is approximately 2 miles. The shorter route is about ½ mile. All routes are accessible for scooters, wheelchairs, walkers and canes. All ages are welcome. We will walk rain or shine. In the event of dangerous weather conditions, the event will be delayed until conditions improve. I will plan an additional hike around the college property for those wanting more of a workout. Registration is easy. I have already created our team “Club At Prescott Lakes” on the web site.
