Below is our Brief interview with her: 1. What does Easter mean to you? Easter is at the base of Christianity and one of the biggest celebrations for Christians everywhere. Through this event, we celebrate the resurrection of our savior, Jesus, who had died in the cross. His sacrifice to redeem the lives of those who believe in Him has opened all the possibilities in life and afterlife. So, personally for me Easter is a season of hope :) 2. How do you usually celebrate Easter? I usually celebrate Easter by going to church for Easter service, and participating in the church's annual 40-day fasting period. And of course, we'll have food and fellowship with friends and families! 3. Could you write an Easter greeting to all your neighbors here in Kemang Village Residences? Hi there, Kemang Villagers! A happy Easter to you all! Wishing you love, peace, and joy in this wonderful season! Have a great time with your loved ones! :) 4. Finally, please kindly describe Kemang Village in one word! Fabulous and Definitely Yummy prizes will be waiting. SAVE THE DATE and DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER! Secure Living The question comes to mind, particularly, when living in a high rise tower, on what to do in the event of an emergency. Whilst it’s true that none of us would want to be in such a predicament, it is crucial to get ourselves and our family members familiar when it comes down to emergency situations. The most important and basic tip in being secure is to Keep Calm in case of an emergency. Do not panic and do not cause others to panic. When it comes to earthquakes or fire, the first thing is to remember not to use the lifts. However, when already inside the lift, stay calm until the doors safely open to allow you to exit safely. The lifts are programmed to go to the ground level or stop at a lower floor whereby you can then get out and walk down via the emergency staircase to the ground level. You will be directed to the designated assembly point to await further security advice from the security officer. There are many safety features incorporated into the design of our residences such as fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems inside the unit and in public areas, emergency lighting, fire alarm pull stations, fire extinguishers and smoke and gas detectors. It is also highly recommended that the homeowner equips their unit with a fire extinguisher. Ensure that it is refilled before it even expires so in case you need to use it, it will be able to effectively put out an accidental fire that may have been caused in your unit and stop the fire from spreading. Immediately call the 24 Hours’ Emergency No. 546 0911 In the event of an earthquake, immediately stay in a safe place, away from falling objects or household furniture. Again, keep calm. You can stand below the frame of the door and stay away from cabinets, glass windows or other fragile items. After the tremors, check the condition of the unit. Do not use the lift to evacuate and do not cause any panic to other persons. Technology for Security For enhanced safety in the tower, the building has opted to use the access card technology. This is an important security layer that provides residents more privacy and security. Your access card is your identity card allowing you to gain access to the tower, lift and facilities. The card is programmed in such a way that it keeps a trail of who enters the tower and when you leave. It is important therefore that you do not give your access cards to anyone outside your household members. Do ask your visitors to use the audiophone or videophone provided in your tower and only admit persons you are expecting to visit you. When in doubt, the best practice is not to provide access if you feel it is a strange call. Another layer of security is the use of CCTV surveillance throughout the tower and complex. Whilst we have a 24 hour security patrol, the guards are an important component but are complimented with sophisticated technological equipment. When you enter Kemang Village and the residences, do note that you are entering a CCTV controlled area and this is monitored 24/7. Activities are viewed from the monitors and a security guard will be sent to check a situation that could be of concern or becomes suspicious. Indeed, there must be an integrated approach to building security and another way that must be carried out is the constant screening of visitors, tenants, workers, delivery personnel and any other person entering the residential complex and tower. Identification cards are given upon checking in at the security gate and anyone who is not a resident must wear the ID cards. We encourage residents to report if they see any suspicious person or persons without their Identification Cards and allow our security officer to check and ask them to leave the premises. Kemang Village is committed to provide a safe and secure community for its residents and a top priority is to ensure that our security personnel and the rest of the building staff with the help of residents to be more diligent in order that we can maintain the secure environment already planned and designed in our residences. your new lifestyle Our Planet As more families are moving in to Kemang Village, it is time again to remind everyone on the ‘green and healthy’ living concept which we embrace here in our new village. We have all heard the common saying ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ and perhaps many of us find it now too commonplace. However, we find it is still an important topic for many reasons. Good things start at home and you can start helping the environment by reducing or eliminating waste and being smart and save costs by reusing items that are still good to use instead of simply throwing them away. So think before you throw and know what can be recycled before you throw. Now what goes in the garbage chute? Here, we illustrate what you can throw in the chute and help us communicate this to your household help. More often, everything just goes in the chute and ends up in trash even when the trash can be recycled. What happens too often as well is if do not know what can be recycled, then, it just ends up in the trash anyhow. We hope the illustration below is helpful to you and your household staff. These signs are posted in all the garbage chute rooms as a reminder of what to throw and what not to throw in the chutes, not only for proper waste disposal reasons but also for safety reasons. So let’s start and make this a better world to live in by taking small ‘green’ steps that will surely go a long way towards a greener planet.
