SECTION 08300 – COILING ROLL-UP DOORS (ALTERNATE BID ITEM 1)

PART 1 GENERAL

1.1 SECTION INCLUDES A. Overhead coil-up doors.

B. Operating hardware and support.

1.2 CONTRACTOR SUBMITTALS A. Submit in accordance with Section 01300 – Submittals and Shop Drawings.

B. PRODUCT DATA: MANUFACTURER’S DATA SHEETS ON EACH PRODUCT TO BE USED, INCLUDING:

1. Preparation instructions and recommendations.

2. Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.

3. Details of construction and fabrication.

4. Installation instructions.

C. SHOP DRAWINGS

Include detailed plans, elevations, details of framing members, anchoring methods, required clearances, hardware, and accessories. Include relationship with adjacent construction.

D. MANUFACTURER’S CERTIFICATES

Certify products meet or exceed specified requirements.

E. OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE DATA

Submit lubrication requirements and frequency, and periodic adjustments required.

1.3 COLOR BOARD Coordinate door colors with the City for each wash rack prior to order. Upon determination, provide color samples on the Color Board per Section 01300, Paragraph 1.5 – Color Board.

1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Manufacturer Qualifications: company specializing in performing work of this section

with a minimum of five years’ experience in the fabrication and installation of security closures.

B. Installer Qualifications: company specializing in performing work of this section with minimum three years and approved by manufacturer.

PART 2 PRODUCTS

1. Curtain: interlocking roll-formed slats as specified following. End locks shall be attached to each end of alternate slats to prevent lateral movement.

DIVISION 14 – CONVEYING SYSTEMS

SECTION 14600 – BRIDGE CRANE (ALTERNATE BID ITEM 2) PART 1 – GENERAL

1.1 DESCRIPTION A. SCOPE

1. This section specifies bridge cranes and hoisting equipment.

2. Runway beams and rail.

B. CRANE SUMMARY

This section is used to list cranes, capacities, spans, configurations, hoist speeds, trolley speeds, bridge speeds, control options, and any special features specific of the cranes.

1. Crane #1 location

2. Span: 48 Ft., 0 Inches (Coordinate with building manufacturer)

3. Capacity: 5 Tons

4. Crane type: Top running, single girder

5. Classification: Crane shall be designed and constructed to CMAA Specification # 70 or #74, as applicable, for Class “C” service requirements and operation in a non-hazardous environment.

6. Bridge speed: 100 FPM

7. Crane drive: Dual motor drive

8. Trolley speed: 65 FPM, infinitely variable

9. Trolley drive: Motorized

10. Hoist speeds: 19 3.3 and 33 19 FPM, two speed

11. Hoist type: Electric wire rope

12. Hoist lift required: 14 Ft. (Coordinate with building manufacturer)

13. Control: Pendant from independent track on bridge

14. Run way beams and rail: As required per crane manufacturer (Coordinate with building manufacturer)

C. WORK INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

1. Detailed design of completed crane system, including bridge, end trucks, trolley, hoists, cabling, controls, and all appurtenances specified hereinafter.

2. Shop drawings.

3. Fabrication of a complete crane.

4. Inspection and shop testing.

5. Documentation and schedules.
