Definitions
Articulation – The state of being jointed or inter-related (Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, 2010)
Articulation Agreement – A written commitment that is agreed upon at the State level or approved annually by the lead administrators of a secondary institution and a postsecondary institution and…that provides students with a non-duplicated sequence of progressive achievement leading to technical skill proficiency, a credential, a certificate, or a degree and linked through credit between the two institutions (Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006)

Types of Articulation
There are different types of articulation
Each Tech Prep Consortium in Arizona has their own terms for the different types of articulation
Some of the common types of articulation are coherent sequence/curricular flow, Tech Prep credit, dual enrollment and reverse credit
Reporting Articulation
Remember - CTE Articulation is required for institutions that receive Basic Grant Funding
Tech Prep facilitates the CTE articulation process and reports progress to ADE
All articulation, no matter what type, must include the Secondary/Postsecondary Program Articulation Form (Curricular Flow Agreement)
All CTE program articulation must be included in the Articulation Log submitted to ADE
