Transcript of Secret Agents Society - Amazon Web Services
Secret Agents Society This term at St Mary’s Catholic School, we will be implementing a program called “Secret Agent Society” with our Year 1 class. The program is an evidence-based, multimedia curriculum to help children improve their social and emotional resilience. Mrs Kasie Lane will be implementing the program with the support of Mrs Belinda Farley. Kasie Lane is a fully qualified instructor and she works with Dr Corey Lane, who is our local child psychologist. This innovative program will empower whole-of life outcomes for the students. The program will be implemented as a ‘whole-of-class’ curriculum and it aligns with the Australian Curriculum General Capabilities within the Health and Physical Education Learning Area. This program will focus on:
Ethical understandings
Intercultural understanding
Personal and social capabilities
Critical and creative thinking
ICT capability
Literacy In 2020, this program will then be implemented in the upper school in a small group context. Please drop into the office if you would like any further information about the “Secret Agent Society Program”.

SPIRIT OF MERCY GUIDING ME, STRENGTHENING ME, CHALLENGING ME
The Gospel this week is from the Holy Gospel According to Luke 17:11 - 19. The Gospel is about Jesus cleansing ten lepers. The reading is about Jesus curing the ten lepers, and only one returning to thank Jesus. You may like to spend time reading the Gospel with your child or children and ask some of the following questions… What did the sick men do when they saw Jesus? How did Jesus respond to them? What did one of the healed people do when he discovered he was well? When are some of the times you can ask Jesus for help? How can we thank Jesus for all he has done for us? Last week, we gathered as a whole school community outdoors for morning prayer. This is a very special time in our school when we share the Gospel, pray and give thanks to God. Everyone is welcome to join us every Wednesday morning from 8:35am for prayer.
