Second Wynde Second Wynde presents American Celtic Music and Songs of the Sea in an exceptional fashion. Traditional Scottish and Irish jigs and reels, ballads, airs, pub songs, sea shanties and dance steps are blended with an eclectic mixture of musical styles for an interesting and enjoyable entertainment experience. Based in the Roanoke region of Virginia , Second Wynde is a diverse blend of music teachers, private instructors, orchestral musicians and choral singers mixed together with rock, pop, country, folk, and Celtic performers. The group has been together for more than 25 years with numerous festival, concert and special event appearances throughout the Central Atlantic States. Second Wynde provides great refashioned Celtic fun by combining their distinctive talents on fiddles and flutes, pipes and whistles, guitars, vocals, keyboards, dancing feet, various percussion and a kitchensink full of surprises! When Second Wynde takes to the stage, they clearly bring something unique to Celtic and Maritime music. With influences from Bach to Rock, Jazz to Jam, Blues to Bluegrass and Folk to Funk, there is a delightful touch of it all in their captivating performances.
