The Pre-Pharmacy AssociationThe Pre-Pharmacy Association aims to prepare members for success in pharmacy schools starting in their undergraduate career.

We provide opportunities to network, volunteer, and learn more about Pharmacy Schools and the application process. We conduct meetings featuring representatives and current students of Pharmacy Schools.

In addition, members have access to a list of active members and their volunteer hours will be sent to the University of Houston College of Pharmacy Admission Committee.

Membership InformationMust be enrolled at the University of Houston (all majors are welcome)

Must fill out a membership application and paid dues of $25/semester or $35/annual, by the third general meeting date, September 25th.

Must have earned 25 points by the end of the semester. Points are earned primarily through volunteer events.

Must have participated in a minimum of 4 different volunteer events (4’s Rule).

4’s RuleMust have participated in a

minimum of 4 different volunteer events

➔ Bake Sales➔ Food Bank

Events that count as fulfilling only 1 of the required 4 if done multiple times

Events that are always different and can be counted towards the rule, multiple times

EXAMPLES

➔ Walks➔ Miscellaneous/Special Events➔ Anything not listed above

➔ 4 Bake Sales OR 4 Food Banks = 1/4 X ➔ 2 Food Banks, 1 Bake Sales = 2/4 X ➔ 2 Food Banks, 1 Bake Sale, 1 Walk = 3/4 X➔ 1 Bake Sale, 1 Food Bank, 2 Walks = 4/4 ✓ ➔ 4 Walks or 4 Special events = 4/4 ✓ ➔ ETC.

Volunteer Points & All Points in General

Contact Jennifer Lee for any point discrepancies.

Cancellations must be made by emailing Jennifer at least 72 hours in advance.Cancellations after, or no-shows will incur a deduction of half the points that would have been earned at the event.

Late penalty is 0.5 points for every volunteer hour.
