Cruise Ships – Masterpieces from Finland

Over the past decades, shipyards in Finland have built dozens of cruise ships and passenger ferries. In 2009 and 2010, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the seas, world’s two largest and most luxurious cruise ships built so far, were delivered to Royal Caribbean from Turku shipyard. Each has capacity for up to 6000 passengers. The world’s most environmen-tally friendly passenger ferry with LNG fuel system, Viking Grace, was delivered in 2014 from Turku shipyard.

Finnish marine companies have designed and constructed a variety of cruise ships, such as Independence of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas and Mariner of the Seas for Royal Caribbean International. Standard IPv6 or IPv4 Ethernet connection allows easy integration to the existing commu-nication systems. Data transmissions with CNHF have always a dedicated link is always established for the end user, so the data rate is not divided between users as it is in Satcom.

All CNHF devices can be controlled, updated and managed remotely. The system requires no dedicated maintenance or a radio operator.
