Why do have four seasons during the year in Earth?
What causes night and day?
• When the Earth spins around on its axis, it creates night and day on Earth. This movement makes it look like the Sun is moving across the sky. The Sun rises in the east and sets in the west, turning day into night.

Why are days shorter in winter than summer?
• During the winter months, in northern hemisphere, the tilt is away from the sun and therefore because of the tilt the southern hemisphere has more daylight.
