  • Letter from the Executive DirectorDear Friends of Littletons Town Hall Arts Center,

Welcome to Town Hall Arts Centers 2015-2016 Season!

The program committee has been hard at work considering your surveys and suggestions. I think youll agree that their choices for this year have something for everyone! We open the season with the classic West Side Story! It has been ten years since Town Hall Arts Center has done West Side Story, and were proud to announce that

Nick Sugar will bring this beloved musical back to our stage. Then I know that you will want to be with us for the Holidays to experience the family friendly Shrek the Musical. Based on the Oscar award winning film, Director Bob Wells and the cast will bring all of the beloved characters to life on the stage. Dont miss this magical fairy tale!

Shrek will be followed by Violet in January. Winner of the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical when it premiered off-Broadway, Violet features a score by one of the most vibrant composers of modern musical theater, Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Shrek). Nick Sugar will direct this story of a young womans quest for beauty amidst the image-obsessed 1960s landscape. Next comes The Man Who Came to Dinner. This classic comedy debuted on Broadway in 1939 and has enjoyed a number of revivals, most recently with Nathan Lane in 2000. Directed by Bob Wells, its a hilarious study on just how irritating long-staying guests can be! In April, Smokey Joes Caf rolls into the theater. This longest running musical and dance revue in Broadway history features the rocknroll favorites of Jerry Lieber and Mike Stoller. Matt Peters will direct and bring the same energy and pizazz that he did to Swing! in the 13-14 season! We end the season with Legally Blonde The Musical. The fabulously fun international award-winning musical, based on the adored movie, will be directed by Nick Sugar.

Then dont miss all of the special concerts and events! New this season will be the Rocky Mountain Ringers. They bring their magical bells for a Holiday treat! Members of the Littleton Symphony will bring us wonderful concerts in the Spring! Our October remount show this year will be the hilarious, uproarious The Complete World of Sports (abridged) directed by Bob Wells. Captain Quirk and Friends is returning in the Spring to bring us The Magical History Tour, another Beatles extravaganza. And we begin the season with the Littleton Jazz Festival, a traditional favorite, during Western Welcome Week in August.

We are excited! This is the 34th season that Town Hall Arts Center opens its doors to the community. THAC would definitely not be the fabulous place that it is without YOUR support! You assure the success of this community theatre year after year!! And, this year, please consider joining our Backstage Donors. These donors give an extra gift to support all of our programming but, most importantly, help keep our childrens programming strong and growing and introducing that next generation to the wonders of live theatre. With your support, Town Hall Arts Center will be here for many more years engaging, entertaining and sparking your creative side!
