UNBOUND: A National Exhibition of Book ArtJuly 11 – September 19, 2010This survey celebrates the book as art-form and includes artists who make one-of-a-kind art books as well as artists who disassemble pages, covers, and spines to create three-dimensional works.

THE AMERICAN SCENE: New Deal Art, 1935-1943October 3 – December 19, 2010Honoring the 75th Anniversary of America’s Federal Art Project that put thousands of artists, writers, musicians and playwrights to work. The exhibit includes paintings, drawings, printmaking, and photography from several WPA repositories.

NATURE’S BELOVED SON: Rediscovering John Muir’s Botanical Legacy January 9 – March 27, 2011This exhibition highlights the life work of America’s most famous and influential naturalist and conservationist John Muir. Muir’s travels and discoveries are represented in a series of vivid images of botanical specimens, photographed by award winning photographer Stephen J. Joseph.

LAND OF MAGIC: Artists Explore Make-BelieveApril 10 – June 12, 2011The artists in this exhibition leave conventional reality behind to create alternate universes on canvas and paper. Themes of controversy and escape are portrayed with eccentric charm by Esther Pearl Watson, David Huffman (shown below), Lauren Cohen and Weston Teruya.

OUTLANDISH: Contemporary Depictions of NatureJuly 6 – September 4, 2011This national juried exhibition looks at landscape from all vantage points and all media, including painting, sculpture, photography, video, and mixed media. From the micro to the macro, entries can explore a tiny speck of garden to a global view. Look for entry information online in September 2010.
