The term “ACO Invitational” refers to any non-points earning event coordinated by the ACO Corporate Team.

ACOHeadquartersisconstantlyworkingwithexistingandfuturesponsorstocontinuouslyaddbiggerandbettereventsinordertorewardACOMembers.SomeACOInvitationalsmaybeopentoallplayers,whileothersmayrequireaplayertohavereached“PRO”statusortohavereachedacertainlevelofpointsinordertoparticipate.ACOInvitationalswillbeaddedtotheEventCalendarastheyaresecured.

3.6 AbOUT THE ACO MASTERS SERIES TOURNAMENTS (pOINTS EARNING)

There are three types of ACO Masters Series tournaments in which players and/or teams can earn points:

• ACORegionals

• ACOMajors

•ACOConferenceChampionships

3.7 ACO MASTERS SERIES MAjORS Events in which players from all Regions and throughout the cornhole community come together at one location to compete for points and prizes.

CoordinatedbytheACOHeadquartersTeam

DivisionsateachMajorwillincludeWorldSingles,WorldDoubles,SeniorsSingles,WomensSingles,andJuniorsSingles.

majors will be two day events:

• Fridaynight:SeniorsSingles,WomensSingles,andJuniorsSingles

• Saturday:WorldSinglesandWorldDoubles

Seniors,Womens,andJuniorstourneyswillallbeplayedatthesametime,soaplayercanonlyparticipateinoneoftheseDivisions.However,playersfromtheseDivisionswillhaveanopportunitytoparticipateintheWorldSinglesandWorldDoubles

SocialSingles,SocialDoubles,Coed,MiniBoards,andFrameGameswillbeaddedtoMajoreventswhentimeandspacepermits.CheckthedetailsofeachindividualMajorforSocialdetails

Thereisaprojectedgoalof16-20MajorsduringACOSeason13.ThesewillbeheldatuniquelocationsacrosstheU.S.

PlayingformatateachMajorwillbestandardfromonelocationtothenextthroughouttheSeason

AplayercanparticipateinasmanyMajorsduringtheseasonastheywish

5.2 ACO RECOGNIZED EqUIpMENT The Aco recognizes two types of equipment:

• ACOCertifiedEquipment–ACOTournamentSeriesBoardsandACOPRO450Bags

• ACOApprovedEquipment–NotlimitedtoACObrandedequipment–itneedonlycomplywiththefollowingcriteriainordertobeACOApprovedEquipmentSpecs

5.3 ACO AppROvED EqUIpMENT SpECSboards:

• Hardwoodplywoodplayingsurfaceof47.5”to48”x23.5”to24”rectangle.

• Theplayingsurfacehasaminimumthicknessof5/8”withcross-sectionbacking,or3/4”withorw/ocross-sectionbacking.

• EachBoardinasetshouldweighnolessthan25lbs.

• Eachholeis6”diameter,centered9”fromthetopoftheboardand12”fromeachsideedge.

• Thefrontoftheboardis3”to4”fromthegroundtothetopoftheplayingsurface.

• Thebackoftheboardis12”fromthegroundtothetopoftheplayingsurface.

• Theplayingsurfaceshouldbefinished-sandedtoaverysmoothtexture.Thereshouldbelittletonoblemishesinthewoodsurfacethatmaydisruptordistortplay.

• Theplayingsurfacecanbepaintedwithahighglosslatexpaintorvarnish.Thesurfaceshouldallowbagstoslidewhenthrown,butnotbesoslipperythatthebagsslidebackdowntheplatform.
