Enter GFEBS in the Title field. 5. Click Search Training Catalog button. 6. Locate the course for which you want to register in the topic search results. 7. Click the Register link. 8. From the Registration Confirmation, click the Go to In-Progress Learning button. 9. Locate the course for which you want to commence training. 10. Click the Open [+] icon to display the individual lessons/modules. 11. Locate the lesson/module that you wish to launch. 12. Click the Launch button to launch the lesson/module content.

SECTION 1 - QUICK STEPS

1. From the ALMS Home page, click Search.

2. From the Search page, click Advanced Search.

3. From the Find Learning - Advanced Search page, click Topics.

4. Enter GFEBS in the Title field.

5. Click Search Training Catalog button.

6. Locate the course for which you want to register in the topic search results.

7. Click the Register link.

8. From the Registration Confirmation, click the Go to In-Progress Learning button.

9. Locate the course for which you want to commence training.

10. Click the Open [+] icon to display the individual lessons/modules.

11. Locate the lesson/module that you wish to launch.

12. Click the Launch button to launch the lesson/module content.

SECTION 2 - DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS WITH IMPORTANT NOTES

This is the new ALMS 4 Home page. To navigate back to the ALMS 4 Home page from any other ALMS 4 page, click the Home icon in the top horizontal bar. Do not use the Home icon to exit from your course modules. The Home icon should only be used when navigating ALMS 4 outside of the course content.

1. To search for a GFEBS course in ALMS 4, click Search in the left-side vertical menu. The Search page thendisplays.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL LEARNERS: Currently, ALMS 4 does NOT have a progress bar or other visual indicator showing that a click action is ‘in-progress’. For example, if you click Search, the screen may not refresh for a few seconds and you will see no circular arrow in your browser tab, nor will you see the hourglass showing progress, or any other visual cue. If the screen does not change after 10 seconds, then perform the click action again.

2. From the Search page, click Advanced Search. The Find Learning – Advanced Search page displays.

3. From the Find Learning – Advanced Search page, click Topics. The overall screen will not change, but theTopics selection will appear in black text instead of blue text.

4. If you want to display a list of all GFEBS CBTs available for registration, in the Title field, enter GFEBS.

If you want to display only one course, in the Title field, enter the first few letters/numbers of the coursename that you wish to display. (Examples, GFEBS Essentials or GFEBS L452E)

5. Click the Search Training Catalog button. The search results will appear in the screen area below thesearch parameters under the Topics heading.

7. To register for the course, click the Register link on the right side of the screen. ALMS 4 will provide youwith a registration confirmation to confirm a successful result.

The confirmation may take a few seconds to appear, so please allow time for ALMS 4 to complete the action. If you do not get a Confirmation page within 30 seconds of the click action, then please retry by clicking Register a second time.

From the Registration Confirmation page, you have the option to return for further searches/registrations, or to commence the course. This job aid illustrates how to commence the course.

8. Click the Go to In-Progress Learning button. The In-Progress Learning page then displays.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not launch the course content from the Registration Confirmation page. Always navigate to the In-Progress Learning page to launch new course content, new modules, or continue modules that you bookmarked and remain incomplete.

9. From the In-Progress Learning page, locate the course for which you registered.

10. Click the Open [+] icon to display the individual lessons/modules within the course and their associatedLaunch buttons. Each time you return to the In-Progress Learning page, you must “open” thecourse/module details by clicking the Open [+] icon.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL LEARNERS: GFEBS Essentials is a mandatory prerequisite course for all other GFEBS computer-based training on the ALMS. If you have not taken the GFEBS Essentials course (or the legacy GFEBS L101E, L201E, and L303E courses), then you will not see launch buttons visible until you complete GFEBS Essentials. You can validate your course completion status by navigating to the ALMS Home Page and clicking the Detailed Training Records link (not illustrated in this job aid).

11. Once all course lessons/modules are displayed, locate the module that you wish to launch.

Depending on your browser and local machine settings (as illustrated below), you may be required to scroll right in order to see the launch buttons.
