Rap & Hip Hop music has also had it’s conflict with censorship and illicitness.

There’s no standard or process to gauge what is GOOD quality Hip-hop & Rap
Music.
Good Quality (defined as): Fluent in Content, Creatively Elaborate, Well Versed, and/or Artistically Authentic.
This does not mean music that is illicit, violent, or ill-manner is ruled out as not good music; it is more about the process and authenticity of the artist and media. Similar to film, movies are not considered unentertaining because they conta in horror , violence, or illicitness.
Corporations and Studios operate under a mantra of, “If they’ll buy it, sale it,” regardless of illicitness or authenticity; taking advantage of a culture and abusing the musical entity that is Rap/ Hip-Hop.
Advertising of artist and their music has become more like tabloid journalism, placing false support or inadequate exposure to music that holds no true artistic value.
The Problem Image retrieved from: http://www.shutterstock.com/cat.mhtml?lang=en&language=en&ref_site=photo&search_source=search_form&version=llv1&anyorall=all&safesearch=1&use_local_boost=1&autocomplete_id=&searchterm=coporate&show_color_wheel=1&orient=&commercial_ok=&media_type=images&search_cat=&searchtermx=&photographer_name=&people_gender=&people_age=&people_ethnicity=&people_number=&color=&page=1&inline=213291643
A paradox has been created between profitable marketing, exploitation, and social trends colliding with artistic integrity, creation, credibility, and authenticity.
Artist are becoming popular by way of media attention rather than quality of music due to the musical industry’s over saturation.

The Rap/Hip-Hop Culture and Industry Needs an Accountable
Solution.
The film industry is the most relative artistic entity to the musical industry; projects are artistically created under the same circumstances, pretenses, and narrative

Look At The GrammiesThe GRAMMY Foundation was established in 1988 to cultivate the understanding, appreciation and advancement of the contribution of recorded music to American culture — from the artistic and technical legends of the past to the still unimagined musical breakthroughs of future generations of music professionals. The Foundation accomplishes this mission through programs and activities that engage the music industry and cultural community as well as the general public. The Foundation works in partnership year-round with The Recording Academy to bring national attention to important issues such as the value and impact of music and arts education and the urgency of preserving our rich cultural heritage.

Now, if you take an organization like the Grammy Foundation, which operates under a collection of industry professionals who are part of various established film unions, and apply the same concept to focus solely on Hip-Hop/Rap music, but not to give awards, but to establish a stamp of approval to which musical actually meets a true artistic standard or value.
And Call it…

Mission The purpose of Waiting In Color is too prescreen artist and their media to vote collaboratively on whether their music, album, or the artist should be allowed a seal of approval that shows the organizations support for their music or persona.
A respected union as such could have major impact on the musical market and radio station airplays and promotions, thus making artist reevaluate the creative process and value of their media.

Why The Name?
The Colored Waiting Room was initially the favored title for the organization but the name carries a heavy negative weight of harsh and inhumane treatment and inequality. Waiting In Color was created under different, none negative circumstances and without the negative connotation of racial inequality.
Waiting In Color is geared towards the Rap/Hip-Hop music genre, which is predominately an African American musical entity. Rather than gather through segregation, we shall gather as musical and media creators and enthusiast to segregate music that deserves to be supported across their proper platforms, and minimize baleful corporate control of a impactful musical genre that has been force feeding a culture music of malnourished content.
The name is mirrored off a history that goes back into Civil Rights. African Americans were segregated in many avenues amongst the days of Civil Rights culture, one of those being colored waiting rooms. Throughout the negativity of the entire situation, a great genre of music was born that is now composed of artist of many nationalities and race; this genre of music is now known as Jazz.
