Fall 2014: The Red Glass House

Prompted by the idea of an artist’s community that will be the center of production arts and preforming arts. Twice a year the community opens its door from one end through to the other utilizing shared space created in the center of this row home community.

The first house that anchors the community to the rest of the neighborhood of New Kensington, and invites people of all ages to pass through and view how these artists like and work as well as shops and displays for the art. The Red Glass house is home to a glass working artists that has their personal workshop within the home.

Spring 2014: Definition of the Body

An analysis on the physical contact between the body and architecture, mainly focused on stairways. The focus is how the architecture is defined by what the body experiences through touch, and how the body is guided through space by physical elements.

Fall 2013: The Stick House

A project derived from common row homes in Queens Village, Philadelphia, PA. Using the buildings facade a complex interior space is designed without actual understanding of anything beyond the public face.

Spring 2013: Digital Analysis

A digital collage piece that initially began with 5 separate images, related visually then decomposed into color gradients and finally vector lines, varying in length, strength and opacity, depending on underlying elements within the collage piece.

Spring 2012: High School Proposal (SLA)

This proposal was a high school gradua-tion project that documented the spaces within a currently existing school with 600+ students and designing a newly con-structed building with the capacity to hold three times as many students that were expected to apply within the next 5 years.

Current: Passerby’s Pavilion

Current work that asks for an outdoor free library that can house 500 books and allows for users to occupy the space leisurely. The site sits at the intersection of 20th and Walnut, near Rittenhouse park, frequented by pedestrian traffic and overshadowed by the Rittenhouse Hotel.

Current: Turning Page Museum

The next stage in the library design phase, a library expansion that redefined the idea of the library. This working model begins to understand the spacial interactions between programs that switch between public and private, social and intimate.

Glass Works: Rose Constructions

A collection of hot worked glass into various flower-like shapes, and composed to create a running fountain from glass petal to glass petal. Each flower is unique in its making and takes repetition and an experienced understanding of glass to maintain consistency.

Photography: White and Light

A small sample of photographs taken depicting the play of light and shadow and the colors that are a result of some type of white medium.
