Seamless profile tubesSeamless steel tubes

With years of experience in cold-drawing, Poppe + Potthoff is a renowned specialist for non-standard cross sections. Our engineers, together with our customers, constantly develop new profiles in the early project stages, continually expanding our range of shapes.

Not the standard program, but available within standard delivery times: Steel tubes are very versatile. They are used in technically advanced systems such as in the automotive and engineering industries, which require the highest precision. This is the expertise of Poppe + Potthoff: With competence, flexibility and speed, we develop and manufacture tubes for

specialized requirements. For our seamless precision round pipes, Poppe + Potthoff uses a large variety of steel – cut to order and to suit your needs. With an outside diameter between 1.5 and 70 mm and wall thickness from 0.4 to 10 mm – a wide range of options is available. For small or large batch sizes.

Modified cross sections prepare the tubes for special uses and allow additional functions in combination with other components. Our range of products includes three to eight-side profiles, elliptical tubes, flat oval tubes, tubes with round exteriors and multi-sided interiors as well as tubes with multi-sided exteriors and round interiors.

Injection pipes Tubes for conveyer chains

existing wall and tolerances of up to h9/H10 or h10/H9.Poppe + Potthoff proves its flexibility not only with its products but also in production. The minimum order size for chain pipes with an outer diameter of over 15 mm is 1,000 kg; with an outer diameter of less than 15 mm it is 500 m. Whether large or small orders: we deliver.

Reliable even under the highest pressure: The manufacturing procedure developed by Poppe + Potthoff guarantees improved liability for our injection pipes made of carbon steel in accor-dance with ISO 8535-1 and/or customer specifications. They are used globally, for example as part of the injection system of diesel engines and test stands.

We manufacture high-pressure tubes with an outer diameter of 6.00, 6.35 and 8.00 mm with failure levels Q and P according to ISO 8535. Larger diameters can be produced with failure level Q acc. to ISO 8535 or in accordance with customer specifications. Our customers can use the materials E215, E355, PP600 and PP1000 under pressure up to 3,000 bar.

As a strong part of the conveyer chain, chain pipes handle the toughest work in the wood-working, mining and mechanical engineering industries. Depending on requirements, we use materials such as C15, C22, C35 of C45, 16MnCr5, 17Cr3, 27MnB5 or 42CrMo4. Coiled tubes Capillary tubes

oils or particles (Delivery condition +A, material Rot/2). With an outer diameter between 1.27 and 4.00 mm, and a tolerance of +/- 0.05 mm. Inner diameter between 0.08 and 0.40 mm, and a tolerance of +0.05 to 0 mm.

Reliable quality in every meter: Poppe + Potthoff coiled tubes are perfect for the production of, for example, hollow riveting and tubes for liquids or gas. Minimal set-up and processing times and stable mechanical features are characteristic of these tubes.We maintain a tolerance level of +/- 7.5% of wall thickness and +/- 0.08 mm for the outer diameter (DIN EN 10305-1).

Coiled tubes with outer diameters up to 10 mm allow for even tighter controls, and here we remain within a tolerance level of up to +/- 0.05 mm, if needed. Standard materials are E215, E235 and E355; other materials may be used if necessary.

Poppe+Potthoff tubes transmit measurement values through liquid or gas: Tightly controlled tolerances ensure uninterrupted flow in systems both with and without compensation, e.g. be-tween sensor and control device in automated measurement and control technologies. Focused on our clients with precision: In furnaces with a controlled atmosphere, we heat treat our steel tubes. This allows us to determine the material’s mechanical characteris-tics specifically in accordance with client needs. We are then able to deliver products in line with the international standards

EN 10305/DIN 2391. Through our specialized annealing process, the materials E 355 and PP 600 can also be upgraded to PPSH delivery conditions for high-pressure applications such as injection pipes.

Versatile range of applications, wide range of offerings: We manufacture steel tubes according to specific customer requirements with outer diameters from 1.5 to 70 mm and wall thickness of 0.4 to 10 mm, with tolerances up to h9/H10

or h10/H9. We are also able to deliver other sizes upon request. All precision tubes are available in standard lengths of 4 to 7 m, either in combined or fixed lengths. Coiled tubes can also be delivered in lengths up to 350 m.

Controlled heat treatment determines the material’s characteristics.
