System for Expeditionary Airfield Lighting – Module 1

SEAL-M1 is a portable module that provides deployable airfield lighting in situations where fixed lighting are not

available or functional, in remote areas requiring airstrips in emergency or disaster relief situations.

The system is based on a common portable light units technology, supplied by internal batteries.

A trailer provides the housing and battery recharging for the light units from internal diesel generator or external power

supply lines.

The proposed system fully meets the relevant standards for airfield portable lighting:

- STANAG 3534 (Ed.5 and Ed. 6) system type 2 in night and enhanched for daytime operations

- STANAG 7025 - NVG approach, Radio-control and integral battery charge.

The above standards are surpassed in terms of operational period autonomy and covert capabilities

Suitable for VFR (3.7km night visibility) and IFR (800m night visibility) approaches with APAPI system and the type D

high intensity approach lights.
