Mainland China- Shanghai embark/disembark- 144 hour visa exemption • Nationals of Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand,

Romania, Switzerland, the USA and the UK: o Visa is required unless you qualify for the 144 hour visa exemption.

Guests with a traditional Chinese visa will be free to travel in China. o Visas must be obtained prior to sailing, are not available upon arrival and must be valid

until departure from China. o If embarking in Shanghai and are planning to use the 144 hour visa exemption, all of the

following requirements must be met: Must hold a passport from one of the 53 countries whose citizens are eligible for

this exemption. Must arrive in Chine within 144 hours of the ships departure. Must remain within the Yangtze River Delta Region this entire time, which

means you must arrive at one of the following airports: • Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) • Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH) • Nanjing Lukou International Airport (NKG)

Must fly directly to China from a country other than the first country visited on your cruise, even if you are not changing planes or leaving the airport.

• You must advise the airline of your intent to use the visa exemption. o If disembarking in Shanghai and are planning to use the 144 hour visa exemption all of

the following requirements must be met: Must hold a passport from one of the 53 countries whose citizens are eligible for

this exemption. Must depart China within 144 hours of the ships arrival. Must remain within the Yangtze River Delta Region during this entire time,

o All guests must bring two photocopies of their passport photo page on letter- or A4 paper to cruise check-in. Guests should also bring two copies of their homeward travel arrangements. One will be presented at check-in, and one must be presented to Chinese immigration authorities along with your passport when disembarking the cruise.

Mainland China- Shanghai arrival and departure by cruise- 15 day visa exemption

• Nationals of Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Romania, Switzerland, the USA and the UK:

o Visa is required unless you qualify for the 15 day visa exemption. o To qualify for the 15 day visa exemption, guests must be arriving and departing

Shanghai by ship, and must be booked on a tour of two or more people.

o The tour does not have to be booked through Seabourn but if you are booking a private tour, please verify that the travel agency being used has been approved by the Shanghai Immigration Inspection Authority to facilitate the visa-free entry process.

o Other ports that may be visited under the 15 day visa exemption are limited to the following areas: Liaoning, Hebei, Tianjin, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan (Sanya), Dalian, Yanti, Qingdao and Beijing.
