The Sea

The sea breaks against the rocks The moon reflects in the sea

People splashing in the water Children playing in the sand

People sailing their boats in the sea Children running along the beach

Like crabs scuttling in the sea People diving into the water

The fish swim in the blue water

Like a cheetah running through a jungle Little children playing in the rock pools

Picking up crabs for their buckets

The cliffs are as high as a bird can fly Reflection of the people in the sea

Seagulls squawking in the air Surfers getting wet as they fall off their surfboards

The Sea

The waves smash against cliffs Near the seashore

Shells over the bottom of the sea People swimming in the slow cramming sea

People wet after being splashed by the waves

The waves as wet as rain Boats glide over the sea Near and far from land

The tide coming in and out Waves from rough to calm

Waves once big like a giant are now calm The rescue services battling to save lives at sea

By Anthony

The Sea Shore

The sea is calm When there’s no one on the beach

The sea glistens When there’s no one on the beach

You can hear the sea-gulls wings flapping

When there’s no one on the beach The current is as strong as an elephant

When there’s no one on the beach

The sand is as soft as silk When there’s no one on the beach The rocks are as hard as diamond When there’s no one on the beach

All is calm,

When there’s no one on the beach

Peaceful Sea

The sea glides across the sand As shiny as the midnight full moon

The sea crumbles on the grains of sand The sea as graceful as ballet dancer

Beautiful like a jellyfish swimming in the sea.

The cracking of the hard shells Smoothness of a dolphin’s body Danger of the ocean creatures

The roughness of the corals.

Sharpness of the shark’s teeth. A clownfish as stripy as zebra

The sea smashes against the rocks.

Aggressive pirates catching fish Rocks are smooth like a pillow

The sun beating down on the sand The blue water is always full of animals

By Charlize

The Rocky Sea

Rocky shore, the sea dark like midnight sky Waves hit the rocky wall and the rocks crumble

Rocks hit the deep water and splashes so high like a giant

Waves hit the cliff face

And roll back down like marbles Golden sand so bright like the sun

The brightness reflects on your face

The waves of the earth Seem like they are touching the clouds

The shells smash and stick together they tumble into the water

The sun goes down

Still reflecting beautifully on the water Then the waves suddenly start to settle down

The moon slowly rises and the night turns cold

Sea Shore Sounds

The sniffing of dogs look for secrets

Bits of rock fall off the cliff Sand as gold as the shimming in the sun

I feel the freedom in my soul

The palm tree say hello to me The sun in my eyes

The sea as soft as a cloud I feel the warmth in my soul

A man walks his dog along the cliff

The sun as the gold paint pours Playful children make sandcastles

I feel the sand in my soul

Sea crashing on the sand A boat came past on the sea

A dolphin come past as blue as the sea I feel the sea in my soul

The Sulky Beach

I can see the lovely straight horizon I put my feet in the soft sand

I feel a shiver like a rattle A slow comfortable sea breeze refreshes me

Palm trees feel as bumpy

Like a car along a rough road I watch in amusement

As people scream and shout

I lie down on the sand Soft like I am in my bed The sun is going down

Sky painted in pink and orange

The seagulls catch their fish No stones on the beach

This is my freedom I will never forget this beach

Stormy Sea Shore

The roaring, angry waves crashing Against the big stubborn rocks They are as hard as thick steel

Lightning strikes at the midnight sky

The moon is hidden behind a cloud Like hidden gold in a room

The wind swirls and whistles And pushes through the clouds

Boats are rocking with the big waves

The waves slow down to a stop The clouds start to break up

And the storm comes to a stop.

Sea Poem

The waves crash like a bomb going off The seagulls twirl like a spinning spiral

The children shouting like a T-Rex roaring The sun shines like a golden diamond

People bathing in the glittering sun

The stones as sharp as a pointy knife The dog’s bark like the waves crashing

The wind is howling like a wolf

The silky sand as soft as a feather The waves as warm as the sun

The sky is clear like the sea The sea as shiny as a ruby

By Fraser

Wind and the Waves

The winds are strong and rough As rough as the mighty seas

Waves crash against the rocks The whipping winds howl.

Heavy rain pours down

And sand blows across the beach The sea is too wild to sail on

The wind takes your breath away

The seagulls afraid to fly across the beach The sky is as cloudy as a memory

No one is walking on the sand The sky is full of hateful clouds

The sounds of thunder are close by

You have so much fear As loud as the beats of a drum

You have no one near.

A Beach Poem

Sharp shells, rigid stones, Vicious crabs,

Golden sand all on the beach. Sea raging like a car engine

Sand castles crumbling down

Like a disruptive volcano. Seals popping up

Like new born kangaroos,

Oysters crackling like popcorn As they get trampled down As if a tiny squashed ant Sand yellow like the sun.

Dogs sniff the ground as if trying

To find a possession. Posts standing proud and tall. Sea as blue as the midday sky.

By Hector

Page 13: Sea Shore Poems from Class M

Sea Shore

The smooth skin of a pebble The crabs pinch with their orange claws

The waves are coming into the shore Like racing cars at a hundred miles per hour

The oysters huddle together

like Velcro sticking really tight Seagulls tweet their songs all day long

Waves knocking the clumsy oysters over

The rough waves knocking down the cliff The cliff leaps backwards over and years

Like it is defending itself Waves are more powerful than the wind

Stormy Night

The crashing of lightning Smash on the great dark sea

Rumbling of thunder as a cloudbursts And refreshing rain falls like a tornado

The sky turns black and cloudy

The cruel wind howls Moon rocks as fast as an earthquake

The sky looks like its falling

The boats break like smashing glass The floating wood sulks away

Into the dark stormy sea Angry night and a crackle of earth

Crabs scatter as the earth crumbles

Rocks ooze slowly spreading the sand The fish dart about in fear

And the water shivers with fury

Crackle, Pop, Crash, Shiver Says the sea weed flowing in the wind

Dust flying in the weeping wind Shells smash the edge of the shore and are forgotten

By Isabel

Twinkling Sea

Exited sea waves crashing down on the shore Sea as blue as the bright sunny sky

The golden sun shining on the bright yellow sand

Tall cliffs towering over the golden beach

Seagulls flying as gracefully as a soft pillow Clouds wisping through the bright blue sky People tiptoeing along the calm sea shore

The coast is like the amber sun

Pebbles as dark as the midnight sky A rocky stone as hard as a iron tube

A startled sea as scared as a howling wolf Shiny boats glistening as bright as a new day

A tall high cliff as old as an ancient church

Fish under the deep blue sea Whizzing through an anemone

The seagulls flying through the open sky

By Jack

Page 16: Sea Shore Poems from Class M

The Beach

The sea is as calm as a cloud Palm trees waving at me

When the leaves blow in the wind I taste the sweet milk inside a coconut

The sun gleaming into the water

The sun is as beautiful as a rainbow Children playing in the sand

Making sandcastles and dreams

Sand scatters with the wind As it moves like a ballerina Dancing in the moon light

Animals warily travel on the sand

Sand as white as a sheep’s coat The crystal moonlight skip on the sea

Seagulls flying gracefully Forgotten footprints on the sand

By Jasmine

Page 17: Sea Shore Poems from Class M

The Beach

The flying seagulls on the calm deep sea The boats are bobbing up and down

As slow as a turtle in a race The people are as loud as a motorbike

The sea is crashing on the rocks

As calm as a sleeping cat The sea is as wet as a whale

People are on the pier crabbing

The sand covered with countless stones It is so sunny and now it has a lot of people

The sea has mountains of waves Crabs awkwardly walking sideways

By Jemma

Sea Poem

The sea fighting the stormy sky with its fierce waves Crashing against the rocks with its anger Dogs getting scared by the mighty sound

People stop and stare, their eyes filled with fire

The beach not welcoming anymore Never had there been such fury between them

Sand flying everywhere in a tornado The clouds are the darkest they’ve ever been

Sparks will shoot from the electric lamp post

Birds going wild like a child on Christmas morning Clouds like an anvil going to fall

Cliffs crack like their about to crumble with rage

Bits of water spitting from the sea The clouds split with refreshing rain

Lightning bolts firing at the rocks The beaches cracking and the pavement splitting

By Joanne

The Calm Sea

Golden sunshine shining Like a giant diamond on the sea

Dolphins dancing like a angel Swimming in the sparkling sea

The galloping white horses

leaping and crashing on the sand gulls flying In a nice warm breeze

Kids swimming in the beautiful blue sea

Speed boats flying over the waves Their engines roar like a lion

The water splashing everywhere The misty falls back on to the calm sea

By Joshua

Caribbean Beach

The sea starts to calm down As it crashes onto the shore

The sea as deep as a memory The sea shines and sparkles as the sun hits it

The seagulls circle over the coast

Sea as shiny as a tear It shimmers as the sun glows

White sand blows away in the playful wind

Dogs run along the beach with excitement The water slowly washes onto the shore

Palm trees sway from side to side As a coconut leaves the tree forever

Lively children run up and down the beach

The sea as cool as ice The waves go up and down with anger

But the people have fun

By Keira

Caribbean Beach

Down the Caribbean beach I see palm trees, Board walks with huts.

Dolphins swim together in a group. As noisy as a grumbling volcano.

Crabs having a party on the shore,

The seas still and calm Sharks swimming around excitedly. Rock pools crowded with creatures.

Crabs, turtles, sharks,

In the sea, as blue as a dolphin Star fish and sea lions

Swimming around with glee.

Crabs as brown as tree trunks Crabs of exquisite colours

Shells washed up from the sea Telling a story as old as time

By Kieran

Let the Sea Take It

The cliffs there annoyed like a giant cross mum Noisy waves dancing like a fierce fire

Lovely sand will soon be hidden By the unwelcomed sea

The marsh on the other side will go

Like a ghost on a lift Sinking to success

Nobody in sight to play with

As the storm gets closer following me I fell like that I have done something wrong

Like I have taken its pearl I run, but the storm has caught me

By Kirsty

Sea Poem

The sun set fades away

Boats drifting in the sunlit sea

Watched the seagulls flying through misty sky

Doggies trotting along on the warm sand

Crabs getting sunburnt on their backs

People sun bathing on the sand

The rocks playfully falling down the cliff side

The children paddling in the rock pools

By Laura

Page 24: Sea Shore Poems from Class M

Coast Poem

The sea swallows the beach like a dog chewing its food

The breeze flooding the sea shore with silky sand and a calm beach

Gracefully I follow the long beach

Dogs diving in for a paddle The sapphire sky filled with the golden sun

I suddenly feel happy

The waves crash against the rocks On the shore of the beach

The golden sand shining as far as I can see The sunset is beautiful and magical

By Lauren

Page 25: Sea Shore Poems from Class M

Sea Shore

The waves come crashing in Like an army shooting their guns

People walk across the sand before night fall

The night sky tries to reach the waves

But the waves pull back The sky suddenly goes cloudy

A storm rushes in like running a race

The sea goes black The night sky lights up with lightning Waves whoosh up like a flock of birds

The sky goes black and lights up with stars

By Leila

Sea Shore

The waves crashing against the cliffs, Sea waves are as blue as the sky,

Waves drag stones and shells into the crazy sea, Little waves are as silent as a snail,

The dancing sea is in the distance,

Palm trees love the prancing waves, Palm trees in the moonlight,

Palm trees leaves are as soft as a pillow,

Sand is as crunchy as a nut, Sand being wakened by people running,

Sand is soft in your hands, Sand can be hot or cold,

The prancing sea is going to bed,

The calm sea is tired, The beautiful sea is asleep,

The dancing sea is very quiet.

By Mary

At the Beach

Thunder cracks and the beach grows tired The sand settles its head on its ocean bed

The ocean as warm as the sun lit sky Making faces at the earth as it goes by

Sea weed happily dancing when the day is light

A butterfly is fluttering by The sand jumps as the dogs run by The whispering wind swayed quietly

Dogs barking, seagulls squawking

Children playing and the beach is full of noise Sun shining like a crystal reflecting on the open water The day slowly ends with the calmness of the beach

By Rae

The Sea

The sea sways side to side As soft as the golden sand

The sea is as blue as the sky Seagulls plunge into the water

Fish down below swim like darts The coral is as bumpy as a raisin

Seagulls swoop in the ski As the colourful boats come in

The sea is calm.

The sea weed floats about in the water around the boats.

The fish are too fast for the shark.

By Rhys

The Beach

Massive waves in the sea Water as dark as the midnight sky

The sand is yellow like the sun Empty beach, there are no stones or shells

Shells shining on the beach

Seagulls chasing bait on the crab lines As children cast it into the depths

Seagulls were ever you go

Boats sailing out on the sea Dolphins swimming below

Waves crashing at the big black rocks Wind howling at the waves

By Rosie

The New Sea

The sea is moving up and down Forward and back without a sound No body can swim far from the sea

Unless you had a boat which can save your life

If you don’t respect the sea The sea won’t respect you

You can save the sea Help the animals and they will respect you

By Ryan

The Sea

The golden sun shining on the sea The water is like a diamond spinning around

The sand as warm as a fire Jet skis racing across the sea like a rocket

The clouds like a soft pillow

Dogs racing up and down the beach The birds flying gracefully across the sky

The wind roaring in my ear

Children building sand castles Their towers as tall as the sky Families swimming in the sea

The boats sailing in the light blue sea

The Sea

The Sapphire sky shining on the water Boats swishing side to side

Seagulls flying above our heads like a tornado People swimming in the water

The sea as calm as a bird swooping

As it touches down gently onto the sand Fisherman coming and going The sea crashing on the shore

People crabbing on the pontoon

Shells shining glamorously in the sun Seaweed floating on the sea Boats bobbing up and down

The Stoney Beach

Swollen like a speed bump The water scrubs up against you

Speed boats attack the water Cool damp sand toughening bare feet.

The sea bashing the stones like a car crash,

The sun reflects of the water The sea is sometimes rough

Like a wild child

The sea never goes away and always flows The water sparkling in the sun The waves curl over another

Then the sea changed its mood yet again.

By Trenay

Sea Creatures

On a dark beach a shell So fragile washed up

Like a dish in the washer The creature wiggles out.

As dangerous as fire

The sharks swim up to the shore Ready for a meal As evil as a witch

As spiky as a Stegosaurus

The starfish’s scales poke out at the fish It floats like an apple on the water.

The starfish is here

They teeth could bite through metal Silent like the stars and as cunning as an eagle

Vicious creatures have come The crocodiles have returned
