SDS SMART FILM/SMART GLASS

SDS Smart film is an intelligent film that can be directly stuck on glass, which instantaneously switch from a

transparent state to an opaque state through the application of electricity, and meet the double

requirements of glass on penetrability and privacy protection. When the glass is in its opaque state images

can be projected onto the glass to create a high definition display screen.

Working Principle:

SDS Smart film features two sheets of conductive film that have been coated with liquid crystals and high

polymers. Applying electricity to the film rearranges the crystal molecules, allowing light to pass through

the film.

In the OFF state the liquid crystal molecules are arranged in an irregular manner, which makes light unable to penetrate the film. In the ON state the liquid crystal molecules are arranged in a regular manner, which allows light to penetrate through the film.

How does it work?

It uses an array of X-Y infrared LED and photo detector pairs around the edges of the screen to detect a

disruption in the pattern of LED beams when a user touches the screen. This x and y coordinates is

transmitted to the computer identify the exact location of the touch.

2) INTERACTIVE DUAL TOUCH FRAME (OPTICAL):

How does it work?

With optical sensors located at two corners of the screen. The two sensors track the movement of any

object close to the surface by detecting the interruption of an infrared light source. The sensors transmit

signals to a printed circuit controller board that the light has been “blocked”. And thus triangulates the

position of the touching object with a high degree of accuracy. The touch registers just before the physical

touch on the screen. This means that users can apply zero or light touch to the screen to initiate a

response, and any input device, such as a paintbrush, finger, pen, or light proof objects will work.

Optical imaging touch technology is fully compatible with Windows 7 operating system of

Microsoft, and defines gesture commands such as zooming in/out, rotating, and editing by

applying any combination of two points.

Behind the window:

Our lightweight touch foil can be applied directly to a window or a glass sheet and then a

rear projection screen can be mounted behind the touch foil to create a through-

window/glass touch experience.

Permanent or removable:

SDS Touch foil can be mounted using either a permanent or a removable fixing method

allowing the touch unit to be moved to another location if required. There are no external

components required with SDS Touch foil so the installation is completely safe behind the

window.

2) SDS INTERACTIVE GESTURE CONTROL

With interactive gesture control technology you don’t need to touch the screen to activate and control it.

How does it work? It works by combining a visual user interface with a storefront display. The display provides several options to the user. A processor is connected to the display, which chronologically highlights each of these selection options for a period of time. The processor, during the highlighting period, receives one or more images of the user’s movement from an image input device. At this point, the processor determines whether the user’s gesture is contained in the one or more of the selection options. When a gesture is contained in the one of the option images, the processor performs an action determined by the highlighted selection option.
