2. TECHNICAL CONDITIONS FOR SPRINKLER INSTALLATIONS 2.1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXECUTION 2.1.1. The whole installation should be assembled according to this design upon
obtainment of approvals from the relevant authorities; 2.1.2. All pipes, pipeline bearers and equipment, prior to assembly, are to be immaculately
cleaned and protected with primary colour. 2.1.3. Check the impurities of the pipes from the internal side and if they are not
sufficiently clean they are to be cleaned with a wire brush. 2.1.4. All pipe elements, reinforcings and other equipment should, prior to placement,
have certified documentation, namely pipes for 16 bar and reinforcing for 10 bar. 2.1.5. Connecting of the pipeline is to be executed by welding and by screw thread
connections. 2.1.6. After completion of the whole assembly, test the installations for hydraulic pressure.
The installation should be tested for pressure larger for 50% from the working pressure.
2.1.7. The test for the required pressure is to be executed in the following manner: The pipe network is closed with sprinkler jets and on the other end close the valve f for water supply from the network. - Fill the network with water and aerate. - With a manual pump create pressure of 12 bar. This pressure is to be maintained
for 24 hours and potential pressure drops are to be controlled. The installation has satisfied the hydraulic test when in the required 24 hour period there were no pressure drops.
2.1.8. Upon completion of the test it is mandatory to create a minute which will be kept as
a permanent document. 2.1.9. After the completed assembly and the completed test of the installation for hydraulic
pressure, the installation is to be painted with the final coat of paint. 2.1.10. On a visible place place a sign plate with the inscription of the company which
executed the works together with the year of assembly.

2.2. TRIAL RUN, MAINTENANC, MANNER OF TESTING AND OCCASIONAL CONTROL OF THE SOUNDNESS OF THE INSTALLATION 2.2.1. Upon the completion of assembly and testing of the installations to hydraulic
pressure the functional trial run should be executed. 2.2.2. The functional trial run is to be executed in the presence of the representatives of
the investor and in the presence of the representatives of the contractor of works. The representative of the investor should be the supervisory authority and the representative of the contractor of works should be the chief of the construction site.
The test of the devices is to be executed in the following manner: - By putting flame near the sprinkler jet, - By opening the test valve on the valve station. In the first case during the test the following should be achieved: a) Leaking of water on the sprinkler jet in dispersed state, b) In a couple of denths of seconds the sounding of the hydraulic bell and sending the signal in the main control center, c) That the device is activated.
In the secnd case, by opening of test valve on the valve station the following should be achieved:
Items a), b), and c) from the previous case are repeated. 2.2.3. After the performed test, make a minute which will be signed by authorized persons
and they will keep it as a permanent document. The minute is to be delivered for inspection to the technical control.
2.2.4. When the extinguishing is completed then the device is placed in mobile stat. First,
the compressor is switched off, then the supply valve is closed, the sprinkler jet is replaced and then the water is drained from the network. When the network is empty, then the sprinkler station – sprinkler valve is brought into balance position. Then the compressor for maintenance of air pressure inside the pipeline downwards from the flap of the sprinkler valve is switched on.
2.2.5. Periodical inspections are executed in certain time spans, and they refer to the
following: - Functionality test; - Cleaning of the installation from potential impurities; - Replacement of valve or connection which leaks; - Cleaning of glass ampoules on the sprinkler jets.

2.2.6. The functionality test of the complete system is performed in the time period from one year and it belongs in the function of regular maintenance of the whole system.
2.3. CLEANING OF THE INSTALLATION 2.3.1. It is important for the water in the installation to be clear (without mechanical
impurities) so that the clogging of flaps would not occur. 2.3.2. Cleaning of the installation is to be executed annually. 2.3.3. All valves are to be lubricated and the connections which leak are to be fastened
and checked over. 2.3.4. Glass ampoules are mandatory to be cleaned from dirt once in three months. CHIEF DESIGN ENGINEER M.Sc. Dragan Sekulović M.Sc.M.E.
