Why is Scripting important within the opening sequence of a music video?

Why is scripting used?Scripting is conventionally used for two main reasons:

-To give clear instruction on what is happening in the music video.

-To give the audience a clear sense of clarification.

Example of Scripting within a music videoIn the music video for The Scripts song For the First Time, at the beginning, the video features a girl writing a letter to her parents; the camera focuses greatly on what she is writing while she is also narrating what she is writing as well. There are many reasons why The Script couldve chosen to deliberately use scripting:For narrative: they mightve thought that the narrative wasnt being conveyed clearly enough, so the scripted letter and narrative mightve been used to provide a clearer insight into what is happening in the video.Relatable topic: Since the narrative is about a teenager relationship, many people within the Scripts demographic may be able to relate to the girls situation, while also giving the audience that sense of realism due to the fact that it is dealing with something that many other teenagers in actual society experience.Adds to the tone: The Script mightve thought that the sad tone when the girl is writing her letter possibly wasnt being conveyed clearly enough and so added the scripting and narration, later along with some close-up shots of her crying, in order to clearly represent the morbid tone at the beginning of the video; also anchoring to the subject of the letter, as the girl is writing a letter to her parents telling them how much she misses them.
