Script – coursework 

Girl= Darcy

Boy= Daniel

Baby= jasmine

Scene 1: (establishing shot, the house, then enters the house

into their bedroom) 

Daniel: “what do you think you’re doing?”

Darcy: (packing a small bag chucking clothes and bottles in it) “’!e

had enough o" you all this# need to $rotect my baby”

Daniel: “well you can lea!e it’s mine as well” % shouting (pointing his

fnger, raising his voice and getting closer to Darcy)

(Fades to the stairs scene)

(Daniel on the top stair and girl trying to get past him)

Girl: “mo!e out my way# (waits 3 seconds, Daniel hasn’t moved) 

Daniel &o!e”

Daniel: “’m not letting you lea!e control you and your actions'”

(Girl gets past him on the stairs and is breathing heavily)

Scene 2: (ade transitions into a black screen)

(Darcy walking away rom his house)

(!hanges back to the boy sitting on the doorstep crying with his

head in his hands)

Daniel: (talking to himsel) “what ha!e done?”

Darcy: (stops walking, turns back looks at him (point o you shot)

and starts to walk back) 

(oiceo!er o" Darcy’s !oice: “ couldn’t lea!e him he was the "ather o" 

my baby”

(Darcy walks back and sits down ne"t to him pulls hi closer and hugs

him, the boy is still crying)

FADES TO BLACK writing states 3 years later.

Scene 3:

(#utside o the house, writing appears, $% weeks later’)

(!an hear the girl screaming as he continues to hit because she

didn’t reply to his te"t because the battery ran out)

Darcy: the $hone has something called a battery Daniel it runs out'

Daniel: “no it doesn’t you turned i" o) didn’t you”

Darcy: “no the battery ran out”

Daniel: “don’t lie to me”

Darcy: *sighs loudly+

Daniel& *grabs the back o" her head and $ulls he down to the ,oor

hitting her# the bathroom door slams close+

Darcy: “no sto$ you’re scaring the baby” *the baby now a toddler#

sitting in her bed+

*-"ter this hitting she kicked him out the house and he wasn’t

allowed to come near the baby or her# he ke$t coming round the

house and shouting through the letterbo. and looking through the

window to try and get into the house+

Darcy’s !oiceo!er: “he ke$t telling me he changed but what was

su$$osed to do he ke$t bringing things round "or /as but ke$t

telling him to go# he ne!er le"t”

 Screen shows - 3 years and 3 months later.

('hey became a amily again, the hitting still continued)

(#n their break she slept with someone else, he ound out, he

through her onto the ground trying to get it out o her)

Daniel: “did you slee$ with someone else?”

Darcy: “01”

Daniel: “don’t lie to me2 did you slee$ with someone else?”

Darcy: “3E4# did okay” (screaming it in his ace)

(Daniel throws punch ater punch, into her ace and body, bruising

Darcy more than he ever has beore he picks up as and took her

back to bed where she sits crying)

('hen he picks up an ironing board and using that to beat her)

She was found 4 hours later, she died of the abuse because

she stayed silent.
