Don't be stupid Jarrahdale Serpentine shire


The only thing you need to do is keep the cemeteries clean and

tidy , nothing more nothing less , that’s what shires do , what is

required

We need another cemetery developed nr Whitby .The amount of

people coming into the Shire is expanding greatly and in years to

come .We have lived in the Shire for 28 years .


ref SERPENTINE : as a 3rd Generation Farmer in this area , I

would like to think that our, and following Generations would have

the same opportunity to be buried (if they so wish) in the area of

their 'living' years. I believe this local Final Resting Place is very

important indeed, As much as I acknowledge the importance of the

Bush Forever site on the southern border, I would be very much in

favour of expanding to the south, to accommodate further plots.

Seed should be collected from these important Flora, so by

growing plants in a local nursery, mature Native Plants can be

planted in the borders, & as required in the new section of the

Cemetery. I also think that folks that live outside of our Shire,

should be discouraged from using the reducing valuable plots,

unless they were from Pioneering Families. I do feel very strongly

on this and would like to think some discussion is held before key

Please cosider for denominational areas for religious/ethnic groups.

As the shire population growing, there are more people belongs to

religious/ethnic groups and want that loved ones to be buried close

by. I am from Mulsim community and there are so many otheŕ

members of muslim community lived in shire area. We dont have

nearby cemetery. You are requested to review the plans and

provide us some denominational area for our Muslim community

either in serpentine or jarahhdale cemetery.


I request you to please add a block of land for muslim buriels. It

will be very helpfull for local muslim community living around here.

We appreciate the project and hopefully the council/shire will

consider a space for muslim burials at the planned development for

cemetery site .Thank you


We need space for all muslum community around this area .


We want some space for our generation and all muslim community

surrounding living this area.


Absolutely disgusting thing to do. Disturbing the dead is

outrageous and inhuman!! My father in law passed away only 3

months ago and has not even decomposed yet. Leave the site

alone!


To whom it may concern I have just buried my father there three

months ago and I have purchased that piece of land for at least 25

years with the belief the rest of my family will be buried with him. I

am disgusted to think somebody would even think of this. If I’m

reading this correctly you want to remove all the bodies and put

them somewhere else. The cemetery was made in 1880 this

makes it a Heritage site. It is also the restingplace of the early

settlers making it even more important to history. My family and I

will be more than disappointed to be honest we will be very very

angry if this was to go through. This poor and inhumane decision

will be your councils downfall and a very poor reflection of each

and everyone of you. As the government seems to do what it likes

and don’t give a shit for anybody. if this was to happen I demand to

be present for the removal of my father and the re-fitment of him

and his memorial site at your cost. I will also require compensation

and probably counselling . Could you imagine someone you loved

been dug up and moved around. These Morial sites go into the

tens of thousands of dollars and that will be a very big cost to the

community. Do I have to remind use of the disaster created at

Karrakatta Cemetery. The families of the many people affected are

still grieving and appalled with the decision and outcome of that

councils decision. Please reassure me this is not the case as it is

what people are all talking about maybe the information is incorrect

and you just want to clean the place up a little bit and put some

toilet facilities and whatnot there if that is the case that is okay but

please do not remove the burial sites.

Please allocate seperate area for Muslims burial due to increasing

number of local population in the area


They (family) are laid to rest there even after the war ! Have some

dignity!


Kindly reserve a block in cemetery for Muslim burials.


Please include a section for Muslim burial as the Muslim population

has significantly increased over the last fee years in this area and

surrounding suburbs.


It is a good plan


Believe it is necessary, would like to see more places for Ashes


As I have my family at that cemetery. I do not want to see any of

the graves touched. There is also a photo of my fathers grave on

the information pamphlet that we do NOT approve of.


A sections for Muslims please


Toilet would be nice at Jarrahdale, My brother us up there


I would like to see the old unmarked graves on the East side of

cemetery over the ditch & on the fence line and the ones on the

other side of the fence line be include in the cemetery upgrade.

They appear to be discarded and unkept. Also would like to see

the Cemetery grounds maintained professionally and regularly.

Due to a lot of theft of Ornaments and vandalism I would like to

see surveillance cameras installed. It is very upsetting to have your

loved ones graves desecrated and disrespected. No objection to

the new sites. Thank you
