SERVICE PATTERN MONDAY TO FRIDAY
A half-hourly service, including the Early and Late Services, shall be providedbetween Edinburgh, Haymarket, Falkirk High and Glasgow Queen Street.
Between 0545 and 0700 two services shall be provided at intervals not exceeding 35minutes.
Between 0700 and 1900 a quarter-hourly service shall be provided.

SERVICE PATTERN SUNDAYS
From 0755 until 1200 five services and after 2100 three services shall be providedwith a maximum interval of 60 minutes between Edinburgh, Haymarket, Linlithgow,Polmont, Falkirk High, Croy and Glasgow Queen Street
The interval between 2100 and the next service shall be no more than 60 minutes.
From 1200 until 2100 a half-hourly service shall be provided between Edinburgh,Haymarket, Linlithgow, Polmont (Hourly), Falkirk High, Croy (Hourly) and GlasgowQueen Street.

Route 2b Glasgow Queen Street - Aberdeen
1 SERVICE PATTERN MONDAY TO FRIDAY
1.1 Services shall be provided calling at Glasgow Queen Street, Stirling, Perth, Dundee,and Aberdeen.
1.2 Fifteen services shall be provided at hourly intervals between 0700 and 2200departing from Glasgow Queen Street and fifteen services at hourly intervals between0600 and 2100 departing from Aberdeen. One interval of one hour forty minutes ispermitted before 0845 for departures from Aberdeen. One service from Glasgow neednot call at Stirling.
1.3 One additional service originating from Perth shall be provided to arrive in Aberdeenbetween 0800 and 0830. One additional service to arrive at Glasgow Queen Streetbetween 1000 and 1030 shall originate from Dundee.
1.4 One of the services in 1.2. in each direction may be provided by means of aconnection at Dundee not exceeding 15 minutes.
1.5 On Monday to Thursday, an additional service shall be provided between Aberdeenand Perth departing between 2200 and 2300. This train shall also call at Stonehaven,Montrose and Arbroath. On Fridays such a service shall depart Aberdeen between2315 and 2345.
1.6 An additional service shall be provided between Montrose and Aberdeen arrivingbetween 0700 and 0800. This service shall call at Stonehaven and Portlethen.
1.7 The Early Service from Glasgow Queen Street shall also call at Larbert.
1.8 Two services in each direction shall call at Dunblane in addition to stations specifiedin 1.1, between 0600 and 1000, two services between 1700 and 1930, and one servicebetween 2100 and 2300 which may originate from Inverness.
1.9 Two Services shall call at Gleneagles between 0600 and 1000 and one servicebetween 1700 and 1930 or one service between 0600 and 1000 and two servicesbetween 1700 and 1930. In addition one service in each direction shall also callbetween 2000 and 2300.
1.10 The provisions of 1.8 and 1.9 may NOT be satisfied by services other than thosespecified in 1.2 and 1.3, except as stated at the end of paragraph 1.8.
1.11 The services specified in 1.2 and 1.3 shall be operated in conjunction with the servicesspecified in paragraph 1.7 of Route 2c.

Services shall call at Larbert, Stirling, Dunblane, Gleneagles, Perth,Dundee, Arbroath, Montrose, and Stonehaven. One service may omit to call atDunblane and Gleneagles.
3.2 An additional service from Dundee shall be provided to arrive at Glasgow QueenStreet, between 1000 and 1100.

1 SERVICE PATTERN MONDAY TO FRIDAY
1.1 Services shall be provided, calling at Edinburgh, Haymarket, Kirkcaldy, Leuchars,Dundee and Aberdeen.
1.2 Eighteen services shall be provided at hourly intervals departing Aberdeen between0545 and 2130. One interval of up to 1 hour and 40 minutes shall be permitted. Inaddition one interval of up to 2 hours shall be permitted after 1915. Seventeen servicesshall be provided at hourly intervals departing Edinburgh between 0630 and 2130 withone interval of 1 hour and 25 minutes permitted. NB REFLECTS THE POSITIONRE WITHDRAWAL OF 0555 EDINBURGH, HOWEVER TAKING THEQUANTUM FOR BOTH DIRECTIONS THE TOTAL REMAINS THE SAME
1.3 Twelve of these services shall call at Inverkeithing, Cupar and Markinch, and sevenshall call at Ladybank.
1.4 An additional service to Carnoustie shall depart from Edinburgh between 1700 and1730 calling at Haymarket, Kirkcaldy, Leuchars and Dundee. An additional serviceshall depart from Carnoustie calling at Golf Street, Barry Links, Monifeith, Balmossie,Broughty Ferry, Dundee, Leuchars, Cupar, Springfield, Ladybank, Markinch,Kirkcaldy, Inverkeithing and Haymarket, arriving at Edinburgh between 0830 and0900.

1.9 The services specified in 1.2. shall be provided in conjunction with Route 2b in orderto provide services between Glasgow Queen Street or Edinburgh and Dundee, meetingthe following requirements;
1.9.1 One service arriving in Dundee before 0800 and one service departingfrom Dundee between 1830 and 1930 shall call at Balmossie, Monifieth,Barry Links and Golf Street.
1.9.2 Two services arriving hi Dundee before 0900, one service arrivingbetween 1030 and 1130 and two services departing from Dundee between1630 and 1930 shall call at Broughty Ferry.
1.9.3 Two services arriving hi Dundee, one between 1945 and 2015 and onebetween 2200 and 2300 shall call at Perth and Invergowrie.
1.9.4 Three services departing from Dundee, one between 0800 and 0900, onebetween 1600 and 1700 and one between 2300 and 2359 (Monday-Friday)shall call at Perth and Invergowrie.

1.15 Certain services specified in 1.2 and 1.7.5, and one of the services specified in 1.5, and1.8 may be provided by another operator.
1.16 All Peak services on the route between Aberdeen or Dundee and Edinburgh shall besubject to the requirements of paragraph 6.5 of Schedule 1.1 (Service Development) ofthe Franchise Agreement.

3.2 Two services shall call at Portlethen and arrive at Aberdeen between 1300 and 2000.

Route 2d. Glasgow Queen Street/Edinburgh - Inverness, and Edinburgh-Perth
1 SERVICE PATTERN MONDAY TO FRIDAY
1.1 Eight services originating from and terminating at either Glasgow Queen Street orEdinburgh shall be provided between Perth and Inverness, at least four of which shalloriginate or terminate from Edinburgh.
1.2 One of these services may be provided to or from Edinburgh via Falkirk Grahamstonby another operator. Such services need not call at Dunkeld & Bimam, Pitlochry orKingussie.
1.3 The maximum intervals between services at Perth shall be 3 hours.
1.4 All services from Edinburgh shall call at Haymarket, Kirkcaldy and Perth.
1.5 Four of these services in each direction shall call at Inverkeithing.
1.6 Three services in each direction shall call at Dunblane and Gleneagles
1.7 Three services from Inverness and one service to Inverness shall call at Ladybank.
1.8 Two services from Inverness and three services to Inverness shall call at Markinch.
1.9 All services between Perth and Inverness shall call at Dunkeld & Birnam, Pitlochry,Kingussie and Aviemore except that one northbound service need not call at Dunkeld& Bimham and another need not call at Kingussie.
1.10 All services between Glasgow Queen Street and Inverness shall also call at Stirlingand Perth.
1.11 Services between Edinburgh and Perth which do not extend to Inverness shall call atHaymarket, Inverkeithing, either Dunfermline or Kirkcaldy, and Markinch.
1.12 Five of the services from Inverness and four services to Inverness shall call atNewtonmore. Four services in each direction shall call at Dalwhinnie. Two servicesfrom Inverness and four services to Inverness shall call at Carrbridge. Five servicesfrom Inverness and six services to Inverness shall call at Blair Atholl.
1.13 Not less than eight services shall serve Edinburgh, Haymarket, Kirkcaldy and Perth.This requirement may be satisfied by services specified in 1.1. Seven of these servicesshall call at Inverkeithing and five at Markinch. One service from Edinburgh need notcall at Kirkcaldy.

1.14 Two further services shall be provided between 2115 and 2245 calling at Haymarket,Falkirk Grahamston, Larbert, Stirling, Dunblane and Gleneagles. One of these shallinvolve a connection at Dunblane within ten minutes at Dunblane.
1.15 The Franchisee shall use reasonable endeavours to ensure that connections areprovided at Perth or Stirling (a) between, all services from Inverness to Edinburgh andservices to Glasgow Queen Street and (b) between all services from Inverness toGlasgow Queen Street and services to Edinburgh.
The waiting time for such connections shall not exceed 30 minutes at Perth or 20minutes at Stirling.
1.16 All Peak services operated by the Franchisee on the route between Inverness or Perthand Edinburgh shall be subject to the requirements of paragraph 6.5 of Schedule 1.1(Service Development) of the Franchise Agreement.
2 SERVICE PATTERN SATURDAYS
2.1 Eight services originating from and terminating at either Glasgow Queen Street orEdinburgh shall be provided between Perth and Inverness, at least four of which shalloriginate or terminate from Edinburgh.
2.2 One of these services may be provided to or from Edinburgh via Falkirk Grahamstonby another operator. Such services need not call at Dunkeld & Bimam, Pitlochry orKingussie.
2.3 The maximum intervals between services at Perth shall be 3 hours.
2.4 All services from Edinburgh shall call at Haymarket, Kirkcaldy and Perth.
2.5 Four of these services in each direction shall call at Inverkeithing.
2.6 Three services in each direction shall call at Dunblane and Gleneagles
2.7 Three services from Inverness and one service to Inverness shall call at Ladybank.
2.8 Two services from Inverness and three services to Inverness shall call at Markinch.
2.9 All services between Perth and Inverness shall call at Dunkeld & Bimam, Pitlochry,Kingussie and Aviemore except that one northbound service need not call at Dunkeld& Birnham and another need not call at Kingussie.
2.10 All services between Glasgow Queen Street and Inverness shall also call at Stirlingand Perth.

3 SERVICE PATTERN SUNDAYS
3.1 Four services originating from either Glasgow Queen Street or Edinburgh shall beprovided from Perth to Inverness, at least two of which shall arrive or depart fromEdinburgh.
3.2 Certain of these services may be provided by another operator.
3.3 One additional service shall be provided between Edinburgh and Perth. This serviceshall call at Haymarket, Inverkeithing and Kirkcaldy.
3.4 All services between Perth and Inverness shall call at Pitlochry, Kingussie andAviemore. Three of these services shall call at Dunkeld & Birnam, Blair Atholl,Newtonmore and Carrbridge. In addition two of these services shall call atDalwhinnie.

1 SERVICE PATTERN MONDAY TO FRIDAY
1.1 Ten services shall be provided between Aberdeen and Inverness at a maximuminterval of 2 hours and 40 minutes calling at Dyce, Inverurie, Insch, Huntly, Keith,Elgin, Forres and Nairn. One interval from Inverness may extend to 3 hours 15minutes after 1830.
1.2 One of these services from Inverness shall depart between 1700 and 1730.
1.3 Eleven additional services shall be provided between Aberdeen and Dyce between0700 and 2100. Two of these services shall depart from Aberdeen between 1630 and1830 which together with two of the services specified in paragraph 1.1 shall providean interval of not less than 25 minutes during that period.
1.4 Twelve additional services shall be provided between Dyce arid Aberdeen between0630 and 2130. Two services from Dyce shall arrive at Aberdeen between 0730 and0930.
1.5 The services in 1.4/1.5 may originate from / terminate at stations south of Aberdeen.
1.6 One additional service shall be provided from Elgin to Inverness arriving between0730 and 0800, and call at Forres and Nairn.
1.7 One additional service shall be provided from Inverness to Elgin arriving between2015 and 2115, and call at Nairn and Forres. This service shall be either a continuationof a service from Glasgow Queen Street or Edinburgh to Inverness or by means of aconnection with a waiting time of not than 20 minutes with such a service.
1.8 One additional service calling at all stations shall be provided in each directionbetween Aberdeen and Keith one departing from Aberdeen between 0800 and 0830and the other arriving in Aberdeen between 1015 and 1045.
1.9 The Franchisee shall use reasonable endeavours to ensure that as many connections aspossible are provided between the services specified in paragraph 1.1, and servicesfrom Aberdeen and from Inverness to Edinburgh or Glasgow Queen Street.
1.10 The Franchisee shall also ensure that where practicable a realistic spread of services isprovided on this route when taking the requirements of paragraphs 1.3,1.4 and 1.5 intoaccount.
2 SERVICE PATTERN SATURDAYS
