CED : Centre of Entrepreneurship Development• CED was inaugurated on 13th December 2003 by Dr. APJ

Abdul Kalam , the President of India.

• CED aims at initiating training and research on problems on development that must be solved for realizing planned objectives.

• CED acts as a liaison between Government and Entrepreneurs by providing necessary information and helps women entrepreneurs by providing necessary consultancy.

ALEAP : Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of AP• Vision :To become a center of excellence for

development of women entrepreneurship.

• Mission :To be the empowering agent to facilitate the development of dynamic women entrepreneurs by strengthening their entrepreneurial capacities, and support growth of MSME's in the formal and informal sectors.

• ALEAP was conceptualized and was inaugurated by Sri. K. Vijayabhaskara Reddy, then Honorable Chief Minister, Govt. of A.P. on December 18th 1993.

Milestones- ALEAP• Today ALEAP is ISO 9001-2008 certified organization.• ALEAP is the first organization in India , got the Certificate of Accreditation with Gold

Grade from National Accreditation Board for Educational Training (NABET) , The Quality Council of India (QCI) and Ministry of MSME , Govt. of India & GIZ, Germany in March 2015.• On 22nd December 2004 European Union has provided grant to ALEAP for capacity

building of women entrepreneurs. • ALEAP in collaboration with Johannesburg chamber of Commerce organized B to B with

South African women entrepreneurs on 22nd may 2012 at Hyderabad.• ALEAP incorporated ACGA under section 25 of Companies Act on 3rd June, 2005 to access

credit facility from financial institutions without collateral security & entered MOU with Nationalized Banks.• To facilitate women with required information the single window information facility was

started in the year 2006. Counselling and motivation are the key areas in FAB Cell.

Current economy• The industrial sector of the state include some of the key sectors

Current scenario• Power :

The state is a pioneer nationwide in Hydro Electricity Generation.The state has become power surplus with excess power generation being exported to other states.

• LivestockLivestock and poultry is also another profitable businessLargest producer of eggs in the country and hence, it is nicknamed as "Egg Bowl of Asia“Fisheries contribute 10% of total fish and over 70% of the shrimp production of India. The geographical location of the state allows marine fishing as well as inland fish production.

Re-Imagining Andhra Pradesh• Vision : “To create a world class ‘technology start-up

ecosystem’ by fostering ‘entrepreneurship and a culture of innovation’ which contributes to increased knowledge, wealth and employment in our society.”

• By 30th June 2019, the government intends to create an ecosystem that Produce An Entrepreneur In Every Family.

• The new policy for innovation would base itself on the Five pillars : Shared Infrastructure, Accelerators/Incubators, Human Capital, Funding and a system of Good Governance.

Opportunities• Industrial Parks

Established in each and every Mandal Head Quarters of the District.

These Industrial Areas are equipped with approved layouts, internal roads, water supply and power supply.

The Corporation has also encouraged setting up Common Effluent Treatment Plants and also Treatment Storage Disposal Facility (TSDF) in Industrial Parks.

Industrial Clusters• APIIC is developing Industrial Parks in all the districts of

Andhra Pradesh and decided to develop industrial clusters based on the parameters like demand and the availability of the products in the surrounding areas of the cluster locations by availing Government of India grant

• 10 Industrial clusters for in principle approval / Govt of India grant

• Clusters include : tobacco Fish Processing, Food processing, studded jewelry, silk & garments cluster, slab polishing cluster, marine cluster, engineering cluster, cashew park , aluminum cluster, spices and mango jelly cluster.

Economy of Telangana• The is mainly driven by agriculture. • Rice is the major food crop.

Other important crops are cotton, sugar cane, mango and tobacco. • Recently, crops used for vegetable oil production such as sunflower and

peanuts have gained favor. • Two important rivers of India, the Godavari and Krishna, flow through the

state, providing irrigation. Farmers in Telangana mainly depend on rain-fed water sources for irrigation.• There are many multi-state irrigation projects in development,

including Godavari River Basin Irrigation Projects and Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, the world's highest masonry dam.

• The state has also started to focus on the fields of information technology and biotechnology. Telangana is one of top IT exporting states of India.

• There are 68 Special Economic Zones in the state.

• The state government is in the process of developing Industrial Parks at different places, for specific groups of industries. Existing Parks : Software Park at Hyderabad, HITEC City for software units, Apparel Park at Gundlapochampalli, Export Promotion Park at Pashamylaram, Bio-technology park at Turkapally.

Hyderabad - significance• is widely known as the City of Pearls, thanks to its

reputation as a pearl and diamond trading center. • In 2009 the World Bank Group ranked the city as

the second best Indian city to do business. • The city and its suburbs contain the highest

Self-certification System Act (TSiPASS)

• The entrepreneurs need not go around offices or departments for clearances. Exactly 14 days later, they will get a call from the Telangana government and the news of clearance will be given.
