Dijit® systems accept

format.

Data PrepJob files are created in either IJPDS or MPC format, usingScitex Composer™ or Scitex MPC4 Data Prep software or third-party software such as PrintSoft PReS or GMCPrintNet.™ Files contain all the information needed to printthe job, including font identification, font bitmaps, imageposition and fixed and variable data.

System Controller 220 and Data Station 120Using job files as input, the Scitex System Controller 220 processesdata and commands and forwards information required for printingto Scitex Data Station 120 modules. Job files can reside on thecontroller’s hard drive, a network drive, Jaz® cartridge or magnetictape. System software accommodates multi-volume magnetic tapefiles by spooling them to disk.

The System Controller 220 is the heart of the system. It housesoperating and application software and provides a user-friendlyoperator interface consisting of a monitor, keyboard and mouse.Each controller can run up to four data stations, representing atotal of 16 printheads in any combination of single or stitched heads.The System Controller 220, together with the Data Station 120’sincreased font memory (64MB or 256MB), provides high-speedthroughput of print runs.

Dijit 6000 Series

Print StationA print station houses the electronicsand software that manage the pumps,valves and filters that control the flow ofink, replenisher and cleaning fluids for theScitex continuous inkjet printheads. It alsocontrols various physical properties offluids – including temperature, pressureand ink concentration.

The Scitex Dijit Color ChangeStation provides a quick and easyway to change inks. It flushes the print station, umbilical andprintheads, reducing waste andeliminating potential contamination.Flush cycle time is approximately40 minutes, regardless of ink coloror formulation. Print-to-print time(including power-down, power-upand disconnect/reconnect time) is about 90 minutes, compared toas much as four hours using the traditional flush box method.

FanfolderTwo Dijit 6240 printheads mounted on a fanfold-to-fanfold unit can be used to printpersonalized checks, billing statements andother secure documents.

BaumfolderInstall a Dijit printhead on a Baumfolderfor applications like personalization,barcoding, addressing and direct mail.
