2. Report of scientific activities in 2017Doc. L. Hynčík described in detail the organization structure of NTC.

Doc. L. Hynčík summarized the research and other activities in 2017. ScientificCouncil members were informed about projects, contract research, publishedpapers, signed memoranda and participation of NTC representatives to bodies ofsignificant world organizations that have been realized.
Doc. L. Hynčík described activities of individual departments. He informed aboutmain activities, outputs and achievements of the departments in 2017 and theirplans for 2018.

3. Financial report of NTCDoc. L. Hynčík introduced the financial situátion in 2017 and the budget plm for2018.

4. Annual report of NTCDoc. L. Hynčík Íntroduced the 2017 Annual Report of the University lnstitute NewTechnologies - Reseffch Centre of the University of West Bohemia and its content.Further he mentioned significant successes of the centre.
The discussion conceming the annual report was opened. There was no issue, sothe voting process was initiated.

5. Implementation Plan of NTC Strategic lntent for 2018Doc. L. Hynčík commented the priorities of the lmplementation Plan of NTCStrategic lntent for 2018. He summarized fulfilling of the main monitoringindicators in 2017 and plan for 2018 with the view towards 2020.
The discussion was started. Doc. L. Hynčík answered the question by doc. |J. Krechlrelated to the National Competence Centres and Horizon 2020.
Dr. P. Polach asked about the HR Atucircz project and its benefit. Doc. L. Hynčikanswered and explained the benefits of the project realised across the wholeuniversity, in which NTC .has been participating in.

Doc. M. Holeček asked about the overall number of representatives in bodies ofsignificant organizations, which was mentioned in the presentation. Doc. L. Hynčíkexplained the numbers.
Ing. S. Fridrich was interested in the plan and reality of the contract research. Doc.L. Hynčík gave an estimate of contract research towards 2020.
Ing. P. Duchek mentioned shortage of the experts on the market and emphasizedimportance of employee recruitment as well as the employee retention.

6. Proposal to appoint dr. h. c.Doc. L. Hynčik introduced the proposal to appoint RNDr. J. |J. Mareš by the degreeof cZoctor honon.s cczt/scz. The proposal is justified by his significant contribution notonly to NTC, but also to the international science and research development.
The discussion conceming the proposal to appoint RNDr. J. J. Mareš by the degreeof cZoctor honoris cat/sci was opened. There were no questions, so voting process wasinitiated.
