Disease and Breathing “Breathing, in short, is the key that unlocks the whole catalog of advanced biological

function and development. Is it any wonder that it is so central to every aspect of health?

Breathing is the first place, not the last; one should look when fatigued, disease, or other

evidence of disordered energy presents itself. Breathing is truly the body’s most basic communication system.”

OXYGEN BREAKTHROUGH, Sheldon Saul Hendler, MD, PhD. Pg 96.

Blood Pressure & Breathing “The relationship between breathing and blood pressure has been known and understood

for a long time. It boils down to this: Elevated blood pressure accompanies those bodily

states where rapid, shallow breathing prevails. By altering breathing to a slow diaphragmatic

mode, blood pressure decreases.”

THE BREATH CONNECTION, Robert Fried, PhD, Pg. 152

Cancer & Breathing

“The first discovery was made by Nobel Prize winner Dr. Otto Warburg, Director of the Max

Planck Institute for Cell Physiology in Berlin. He confirmed that the key precondition for the

development of cancer is lack of oxygen at the cellular level.”

OXYGEN HEALING THERAPIES, Nathaniel Altman, Pg.66.

The Lymphatic System and Breathing

“Jack Shields, MD, a lymphologist from Santa Barbara, CA, conducted a study on the effects

of breathing on the lymphatic system. Using cameras inside the body, he found that deep diaphragmatic breathing stimulated the cleansing of the lymph system by creating a vacuum

effect that sucked the lymph through the bloodstream. This increased the rte of toxic

elimination by as much as 15 times the normal pace.”

LYMPH, LYMPH GLNDS, AND HOMEOSTASIS, J. Shields, MD, 25 No. 4, Dec 92. Pg 147-153

Detoxification & Breathing

“Many healings of other physical troubles have occurred in my clients after they

started to integrate breathing practices into their lives. There is a simple but

encompassing reason that may explain this. The human body is designed to discharge 70% of its toxins through breathing. Only a small percentage of toxins

are discharged through sweat, defecation, and urination. If your breathing is not

operating at peak efficiency, you are not ridding yourself of toxins properly.”

CONCIOUS BREATHING, Gay Hendricks, PhD, Pg. 17.

Asthma & Breathing

“One study on treating asthma patients conducted by researchers John Goyeche,

Dr. Ago, and Dr. Ikemi suggests that any effective treatment should address

suppressed emotions—such as anxiety and self-image-as well as the physical

dimension. To achieve this they encourage correction of posture, and helping the

person to relax the irrelevant respiratory muscles, while restoring full diaphragmatic

breathing…the good news is that a well-rounded breath work practice will do all

these things.”THE BREATHING BOOK, Donna Farhi, Pg. 207

Heart Disease and Breathing “…Healthy breathing should be the first thing taught to a heart patient. A Dutch

Study, conducted by a doctor named Dixhoorn, compared two groups of heart

attack patients. The first group was taught simple diaphragmatic breathing, while

the second group was given no training in breathing. The breathing group had no

further heart attacks, while 7 out of the 12 members of the second group had

second had second heart attacks over the next 2 years

COPNSCIOUS BREATHING, Gay Hendricks, PhD, Pg.16

“Coronary heart disease is due to a lack of oxygen received by the heart.”

When you are surrendering to constant change in your life, and letting go

of the need to control that change in an effort to give to yourself the

greatest potential and bring the greatest opportunities, then the presence of joy is very, very, very important.

Joy is a vibration. It can be expressed as laughter, movement, peace, clarity of mind, and abundant physical well-being. It can be expressed in being relaxed about not knowing what the future will bring to you. When you honor your joy and allow the joy to fill you, it begins to soften all the points of resistance and hardness created from the onslaught of self-judgment arising from not having met your expectations.

Joy melts the gap between the separated parts of

yourself.

It acts as a bridging agent. Joy, itself, is not a transforming principle. It is an energy which, when activated, allows you to simply BE... in a relaxed state, one accessible to the other transforming energies that you have invoked in seeking to know yourself.

Some of you have an agreement with yourself that states you cannot experience joy when you don’t get what you expect you’re supposed to get. If your expectations are not met, then you remove your awareness of the inner presence of joy and create a state of contracted joy. You take the joy vibration and decrease it. When you do that, joy becomes pain because it is not being allowed to vibrate in its fullest presence. And since many of you have a great number of expectations about yourself which you insist cannot be met...i.e., expectations about your performance, your way of being, your way of loving, your way of serving, your way of relaxing, your way of socializing, your body, your abundance, and so forth, then you tend to experience a great deal of pain and very little joy.

So, when you do not meet your expectations, you take the joy that is naturally within you, the natural state of your beingness, and you decompose it into pain. You play with joy in this manner. This is an energy that you have become a master of, believe it or not, my friends. You are the Master of your joy. Why do you think you can create so much pain? To take a natural state of being and to place it in a dysfunctional state requires a mastery of it. A little child cannot do this, only a Master can.

JOY AS THE KEY TO ACCEPTING CHANGE

Joy is very much connected with your breath. When you breathe, you ignite the subtle vibration of joy that can be experienced within the physical and emotional bodies. Each breath, from the moment you are born, is designed to bring a greater and greater vibration of joy into your consciousness. It is your natural state

to breathe. If you hold your breath from moving, you will experience severe pain. Joy can be experienced in physicality as long as you breathe. Every time you breathe, you ignite joy. When the physical breath ceases, joy vibrates to a greater expression in the other realms.

Take a moment now and become quiet. Now take a deep breath and feel the vibration that comes on the breath. This vibration uplifts you, doesn’t it? It is a very subtle vibration - that’s the ignition of joy.

Joy has never been lost to you. As a Master of joy you have decided it will not be felt. Let the joy build in your bodies as you breathe. You will never touch your passion, my friends, without touching joy. Joy is the bridge into it. Joy. It is a natural state of being. Your body vibrates to it, very easily. Your mind has yet to figure out why it would desire joy. It has decided that joy, when it is vibrating in its lower state as pain, is a very valuable tool for learning. But the mind has not yet figured out why it would want to allow joy to flow in its natural state. In joy, your energy expands and flows, the heart and body begins to relax...and the mind freaks out. “What is going to happen to me now? How am I going to maintain control and assure that I will meet my expectations with this type of flow?” In the presence of joy, the mind must let go of its expectations and its need to control the now and know the future. If the mind cannot do this, it will simply disconnect from joy.

In the presence of joy, expectation is dissolved. And one might say that in the presence of mind when joy appears, the mind’s ability to separate itself from God dissolves. Also, in the presence of joy, you can experience the movement of many different emotions. In the presences of joy, you may experience anger, rage, sadness, grief, happiness, elation, etc. Joy simply brings a flow of emotion needing to be experienced to the surface. If women allow themselves to feel joy, they will drop very quickly into their base chakra. If men allow themselves to feel joy, their consciousness will move into the heart chakra. Why the difference? Because joy always takes you to those places that you have difficulty touching.

As a Master of joy, you need to look at what you are doing. Perhaps, instead of utilizing joy as your reward or punishment, depending upon your performance in relation to your expectations, maybe you should simply let joy be free. Let it work WITH you and FOR you because in its natural state, it can do that.

Page 7: Science/Medicine/Spirit

Women hesitate to connect into the base chakra because they don’t want to become like the men, and the men hesitate to connect into the heart chakra because they don’t want to become like the women. Women tend to believe that if they touch their base chakra that they will become incredibly selfish. And the men believe that if they touch their heart chakra, they will simply be used. So, with your breath, allow the vibration of joy to connect you with those places that you need to touch.

If you are trying to look for joy, you will not see it because the mind cannot see joy. The mind can only see that which is in a “separated state” from God, and cannot see that which is not. Joy is not in a separated state. The mind was created to identify the illusion of separation, not to identify the wholeness. The mind can’t see love. The mind can’t see courage. The mind can’t see compassion. The mind can’t see unconditional allowingness. Therefore, the mind cannot control these things. Isn’t that a wonderful blessing? For some of you, if you cannot control something, you will not acknowledge its presence and its affect on you.

Joy doesn’t seek to draw anything from anyone else. It is whole within itself. It is self-promoting, self-creating. If you are experiencing joy, you do not seek to manipulate another to validate your experience. Any energy that is vibrating in the wholeness is full of itself and it never seeks external validation. What it will do is to radiate outward and simply touch others. Whole energies include unconditional love, compassion, courage and unconditional allowingness.

So if you’re sitting in joy, you won’t find yourself running around asking, “Am I in joy, am I in joy, am I in joy?” If you’re sitting in love, you won’t find yourself running around asking, “Am I in love, am I in love?” If you’re practicing compassion, you won’t find yourself running around asking, “Am I compassionate, am I compassionate?” You will simply be vibrating in your fullness.

Joy will put you in touch with your physical body, your body consciousness. So as you sit ignited in joy, you become very much aware of your body consciousness and its needs, its dislikes, and its desires, and you will choose to express it. As you sit in joy, the desire for movement increases. As you sit in joy, the desire to love yourself unconditionally increases. Joy stimulates the ignition of your wholeness and your life force. It is simply part of the natural state of beingness. Sc

NEW RESEARCH

LINKS BREATHING

AND OXYGEN TO THE

ELIMINATION OF

DISEASE

By Dr Judith Kravitz

Page 9: Science/Medicine/Spirit

Haunted by the question of why we die in just a few minutes without the presence of oxygen in our system. Dr Samuel West D.N., N.D., has spent the past 25 years researching this important mystery of life. We can go months without food and days without water, but why, without oxygen, do we die in just a few minutes?  In trying to understand this question, his research led him to a far more important discovery.  Whereas the absence of oxygen leads to disease and eventually death, an abundance of oxygen can virtually cure all disease.

Dr West, the founder of The World Wide Blood Protein Research Society based in Orem, Utah has relentlessly pursued his theories for over 25 years. In his long journey to understand the nature of disease he was lead to important information carefully tucked away in obscure books and medical journals. He spent years thoroughly testing his ideas   His recent book The Golden Seven Plus One, Samuel Publishing, documents the complete healing of many major physical illnesses through the oxygenation of the body.  This information had been suppressed for many years.  Perhaps intentionally hid by those whose livelihood depended on the treatment. He asks the compelling question “Will people do the research that will put them out of business?”

Transformational Breathing™ is a healing process that delivers vast amounts of oxygen to the system. For over twenty years I have witnessed multitudes of physical healing and disease remission without fully understanding why this happens.  Now after listening to Dr West’s tapes and reading his remarkable book, I now understand the scientific reasons for such occurrences.

In 1980, the media announced by 1982 one out of every five people will die of a serious disease.  By 1986 that figure changed to one out of every three and by 1990 the statistics showed that one half of us would have a major disease when we died.  Now in the year 2000 that figure has risen to 9.8 out of 10.  According to Dr West this means we are well on our way to the total destruction of the human race.  Never has the need to learn how to eliminate disease been so greatly needed and essential.

Page 10: Science/Medicine/Spirit
Page 11: Science/Medicine/Spirit

Dr West’s research has lead to scientific conclusions of how diseases begin and develop.

1.  When blood protein, poisons and water are released into the cells from the blood

stream, it becomes impossible for the cells to take on oxygen. These poisons kill because

they dilate the blood capillaries, which in turn let the blood protein and water out of the

bloodstream and into the cells, altering the dry state of the cells.

 2. Unless blood protein and water is removed from the space around the cells by the

lymphatic vessels, a person would die within 24 hours.  This is information Dr West found

in his research and confirmed in a book written by Dr Arthur C.Guyton, The Textbook of

Medical Physiology, a famous lymphologist in 1961.

3.  Based on that information, Dr West set out to determine if blood proteins trapped in the

cells caused death and disease. Dr Guyton’s research showed that the cells in our body

have to be in a dry state to receive oxygen from the blood. Meaning that the trapped

blood proteins, water and poisons needed to be removed from the cells to create a dry

state. He also proved that deep breathing activates the lymphatic vessels that pull out

dead cells and waters; this allows cells to reach that dry state that enables them to absorb

the oxygen. Trapped blood proteins attract excess sodium (Na+1) and pull water out of the

bloodstream to produce excess fluid and sodium around the cells. This condition causes a

lack of oxygen and upsets the delicate sodium-potassium balance in and around the cells.

This imbalance is what causes the loss of energy, disease and death at the cellular level.

4. In 1980 Dr West developed a formula representing the equation for creating a dry state

in the cells. To begin with, every organism requires electrical activity to function properly.

To generate this electricity, our bodies need sufficient oxygen in the bloodstream to switch

on sodium-potassium pumps in the cells (every cell has one of these pumps) This

electrical energy gives our eyes the power to see, our brain the ability to work faster than a

computer, our heart the ability to beat, our muscles the ability to walk and run, our

pancreas the ability to produce insulin and our white blood cells to power to eliminate the

cancers and viruses.   Oxygen turns on the sodium-potassium pumps, providing electrical

energy to give every organ and part of the body the “Power” to work properly.  The

absence of oxygen shuts down the functioning ability of these systems. In that case, the

eyes go blind, the brains goes senile, the heart stops beating and so on.

.

Page 12: Science/Medicine/Spirit

5.  It takes glucose and oxygen to make ATP (Adrenican tri phosphate), which is the fuel

that turns the pumps on. One of the fallacies of accepted medical understanding is the

assumption that the oxygen is already there. What West’s work has revealed, is that until

the cells are dry, there is no oxygen present to turn the pumps on.

6.   The all-important question Dr West asked is, “What if you do not have the oxygen?”

In March, 2000 he discovered that, “If we have oxygen- poor blood, we just die. “  West

and approximately 400 other doctors around the world now state, “To be a constantly

shallow breather is suicide.”

7. The blood protein and water produces a lack of oxygen that shuts off the pumps. Every

time there is an absence of oxygen, there is disease and death.  Dr Guyton proves in The

Textbook of Medical Physiology that deep breathing activates the lymphatic vessels,

which run alongside the blood vessels, as well as in between and through the cells that

separate the blood and the lymphatic systems.  It is their job to make sure the cells get

oxygen, by pulling out the poisons, dead cells, and excess water to keep the cells in a dry

state. Poisons can be defined as emotional and physical toxins. Some foods we eat and

emotions that trap blood proteins are considered poisonous.

8.   This dry state is essential for the cells to get oxygen from the blood. When the cells

get the oxygen, it turns on the pumps, which generate electricity.

9. Lymphatic vessels are energy sensitive. Energy sources such as breathing, light, herbs,

hands-on and chi machines can move them.    The electrical healing process can be

instantaneous.  This explains why electric paddles in a hospital can bring someone back

to life whose heart has stopped beating.

  10.  We can simplify the healing process by learning how to activate our lymphatic

vessels. Once activated, the vessels pull out excess water, allowing cells to get the

oxygen necessary to turn on their electrical pumps.  At this point, our body parts can do

their job, and healing takes place.

Page 13: Science/Medicine/Spirit

The full diaphragmatic breathing we teach and

practice in Transformational Breath™ work is

the primary way the lymphatic system becomes

stimulated to work effectively. This explains the

intense electrical energy and tingling that most

people feel when they do a breathing session.

It represents the activation of the sodium-

potassium pumps that pull excess water out

and allow the cells to receive the “Power”

Transformational Breath as the Life Force.

Over the past three decades, I have witnessed

amazing cases where disease and debilitating

physical conditions have virtually been

eliminated through the breathing.   The

information that Dr West brings us explains

thousands of healings I have heard of and

witnessed. This new scientific information will

revolutionize medicine as we know it.  We now

have an understanding and God-given

technology to bring our bodies to a self healing

state, where they can function in wholeness

and well being.
